What if there was a flame thrower equipment on the tanks gun, you shoot with the normal gun and when you get cloce to them you cook them with the flame thrower. there is alredy fire damage to the engine that can happin so what if you make a flame thrower as a preimum attachment( would just mount under the barrle). i know this sounds stupid but it would make the game really more fun.

Moving thread to the appropriate section of the forums.

Its cool but it'd be abused like CoD WaW flamethrowers. I don't even want to imagine the whiny rage threads that flamethrowers would cause. THE HORROR! But I do like a good fried tank...

only way i can effectively see this implemented is if actual buildings were capable of being burned down. a maus getting burned to a crisp by a m4 sherman.......

Use the search function. This idea has been shot down over and over and over again.

Borshy dor hur bor sheir borshi borshi. Durr bor snore beshnort shorter flugel. Nor shtedort apsh kor me horgen meshi borg flugenmiherfsbur.

Translation: Hello, I'm the Swedish Chef. Today I will show you how to make fried crew members. The first step is to attach a flame thrower to the front of your tank....

Cool idea, but there are a few things to think about. 1) How much would said attachment cost? 2) Gold only would just aggravate the masses 3) Like with regular ammunition, would it charge you for how long you used it? 4 and most importantly) The FPS would be so low a 123 year old woman using nothing but her legs could cross the street twice before I could find out what happened.

My first thought is:  if you thought ammo racks were bad - wait til you take a shot into the flamethrower ingredients...

how thin? I've been trying to lose weight for a while now and.... wait.

Really though, a flamethrower is by nature an anti personnel weapon.  Against tanks, be they light, med, or heavy... nah.

Now possibly against open-topped or open backed vehicles, (certain TDs and Arty types come to mind,) yeah you might have something.  But really, nah.

my idea was just a small attachment that you could put on your tank for cloce quaters it would be like the fire damage from a enegine hit, no need to get exited or make a whole new line of tanks just a small attchment that cost gold for preimum members..... :Smile-hiding:

It was briefly stated already, but there were tanks in WWII that did have flamethrowers.  The problem was they were short range, and the main weapon.  This means no firing long or medium range.  Your only shot was with the flame thrower, and the coax or AAA machine gun.  As for damage, asside from sabot rounds, the things that tanks hate are fire and barbed wire.  Why?  They both ruin the capability or survivability in some fashion.  Malitov cocktails worked pretty good against many tanks back then.  It would just be a long wait for any real damage or effect I think.  I have no clue how to put that into game terms other than cook the tank and watch the crew on a make shift spit :Smile_veryhappy:
