This is the kind of thread that makes me sad....
New player. This is my fourth day playing. I've had two goals: Work through the spgs,
and get the best heavy tank in the game. I started my goal in the tank tier. The German
spgs look strong, and the e-100 has the most health and armor out of the non premium
tanks. I set my sights on the e-100.
Now I find out, from the forums and clan members, that the e-100 is bad. After grinding
through to tier 4 German mediums tanks. Sadface.

There are quite a few good tanks in the various German lines, don't get discouraged. Just not the E-100 and Maus.
Keep in mind that you're going to have to work harder to get the German tanks to perform, though. Intentional bias or not, German armor has an unfortunate tendency to get screwed over compared to the other nations.

I've decided to continue, and get the e-75. Many of my clan mates say it's an excellent tank.
I may also branch across into the e-50 so I can have a medium tank, which I also heard was good.
I started the russian tech tree today as a failsafe.

It's a good tank with a mediocre gun, facing a whole range of tanks meant solely to kill it as effectively as possible. Not E-100 bad... But not exactly a Russian supertank, either.
