Dont have a type but i would say the super pershing is a fun tank . Just hate the speed 28 on a tier 8 med. Traverse not the best but decent. Gun can pen most tier 9 tanks. Armor same as a regular pershing but with more chances of bouncing penetrating shots ever since spaced armor was added

It is both slow and squishy in my opinion. 200 pen with go through the turret like it was made of butter.

had a battle were 21 hits were taken by 3 super pershings and a IS3 and no dmg was taken or damged moduels

Tried the superpershing and I have got to say that it is like a black hole. It is slow because a 500 hp engine is powering a 50 ton med. 38 max speed but that is really down hill only. It is like a type with more armor and less speed. The gun has a similar RoF but 5mm less pen. It did absorb most of a Lorraines clip frontally once and a guy from the RU server was like "5 pens but no damage?!"

Pershing, That welded on panther armor can actually block hits from some tier 9/10's and its insane

There's some replays of Super Pershing floating around on YouTube and it looks pretty good. The armour seems quite strange yet very effective. It appears to have the mobility of a heavy rather than a medium.

the super pershing is lame, I shot it so many times in the front for 0, yes 0 dmg, even though the shells penetrated the armor and I could see the holes where they hit

The spaced armour is insane, I took 2 bl-10 hits on the chin for no dmg , anything below 200 pen is going to struggle to pen the front, it's really more of a heavy then a med

The SuperPershing is not even better armored considering the 7.5 patch changes the game play dramatically.
However, in a room with tier8 tanks, the SuperPershing does have better protection. However u wont see a lot tier8 games either. The SuperPershing is thrown into tierX games all the time where a lot tanks have guns which can penetrate like 260mm+. A Type59 or a SuperPershing, in this case, does not make a lot difference faced guns with this formidable power.
The SuperPershing has a better canon, slightly better with standard ammo but a lot better with gold round.
But heck the thing is slow, it is like the medium version of Lowe.

1. The spaced armor on the hull of the Super Pershing is impressive.
The turret front armor is a lot less impressive. I've had no problems penetrating it with the T34 (thus far), and believe you can pull off the same "center-of-mantlet" shot that works on the Patton and (confirmed) the M48 using any gun equal to or better than the D-10T or the American 90mm.
The point is that it's not "bullet-proof" - just "bullet-resistant".
2. I've said it before, and I'll say it again - the Brits are getting Tier 8 and Tier 9 mediums with a historical top speed of ~35 kph, but very thick effective front armor. I.e. the Super Pershing with a better set of guns (and at two tiers). [I'm also not too sure about their Tier 10 - that's supposed to be an early Chieftain prototype, but the question becomes - how early, and with which engine. For example, the first prototype was capped at 40 kph, which realistically means in-game combat speed in the 25-35 kph range.]
So, one, we'll get a lot more "slow up-armored mediums" in the game soon enough; and two, the Super Pershing is the perfect training vehicle to get used to the idea of the "slow up-armored medium" (so that all you're "waiting for" is the top British guns, which presumably will be better than the Pershing's 90mm).

SP isn't a medium in play style. Type is a flanker because most everything in and above its tier shoots and pens it every time. SP eats those shots. SP can hold and push a flank head on. SP is great as rolling cover for other tanks if they get bogged down.
SP has its weak points from the front, but they are nothing that can be easily hit from long range. Use the armor to get close then pin down the enemy. Then let other move in while you keep said enemy pinned down.
To me the SP is very noob friendly. Not an easy target to take down. Where the type can be taken out at long range and have no damage in except though lucky sniping shots SP survives long enough to get you into a position to get consistent damage in every battle.
Good buy at 7200g. Have 38 games on it so far on the test server. With vents, BIA, and a rammer the reload is at 6.77 sec.

It sure wasn't against me I pummeled the crap out of one shooting it in the turret ( nice little spot under the gun mantlet)..someone else finished him off then crested down hill (El Halif)and nailed a second one putting him out of my misery...I was in IS3. Love my earned Pershing with long 90mm so i 'wont add this one to the lineup.

The mantlet will eat 220 pen shells, so with 10 degrees angling you should be able to bounce everything except for the T34
