I have been playing here as long as the game has been in existance including beta testing. The game is well done and mostly fun. Mostly! There is one thing that is hurting this game very much and that is line of sight. This has been discussed before some time ago and management said they would fix it but as yet it is still poorly done. If I can see a tank clearly at 320 meters I should be able to see it at 321 meters.  Yeah right! It is ridiculous the way its done.

A sighting device in real life is the same size and can fit in any tank of any size, but not here.  A tank can be going straight ahead but for some stupid reason it sees 360 which allows arty to zero in on you even though you are in bushes with camo. A reasonable fix would be to remove the meters restriction on distance and sighting can only be done by and for the original sighting tank and make the game a little more realistic unless management does not want it that way.

Well if I can clearly see a tank 600 away on El Halluf why shouldn't I be able to see him? Well for the sake of being fair so we don't shoot across the map. I understand your frustration when a tank is in front of you and you cant see it but any other way and we'd be shooting specks 2000meters away like Red Orchestra.

I agree but my point is that every tank should be able to see the same distance, also if I am a low profile TD in bushes and have camo, even if I fire I should not be seen by tanks 400, 500 or 500 meters away, not right, common sense they need to change line of sight.

Every tank could not see the same distance with the hatches closed. Many had no periscopes at all while some had commanders hatches with multiple vision blocks and periscopes. Far from equal from one tank to the next.

My biggest issue is that a tank is running at me inside of my view range, i see him coming then he simply disappears out of sight.

THAT is some BULLSHIT.  If a tank is moving and he's in my view range, he should not disappear.

Also with cammo, it should only work till you open fire.  Now if you are outside the view range and are firing, yeah you stay covert. Inside my view range, the other tank should remain lit because i found that tank because of his muzzle flash.

irks me to no end a tank opens up from cammo, i am in the process of shooting him and he disappears.  BULLSHIT.

This a simulation we know it is not accurate in many ways, half of these tanks never exsisted and the armor plating is baloney contrived by people who have no idea of game play, open hatches baloney! No tank can vanish like has been described above, not right, bad programming etc, not to be argumentive but how about using a little common sense. The game is designed so that you will have to use visa or mc to survive.

I would love to see people earn their tanks not buy them, I am glad they are making money [WOT] it helps keep the game running, but I will not give one dime until they fix the stupid line of sight.

Ps. I deeply appreciate them allowing me to play for free I mean that but that has nothing to do with line of sight please fix it.

view range does need a rework,  tanks being able to find with the same ease targets from the front, rear or size or tanks magialy disapearing 10 mts infront of us can be a bit anoying but  my biggest grip is the amount of info it gives, basicaly 1 tank spot you and the whole enemy team knows where  you are pointing, speed, health,if reloading as well as the ability to shoot with  perfect aim since they can fully see you.
as a result of this is not a mistery why people camp so hard no one whants to be the idiot that goes first and gets shooted by 10 invisitanks from 400+ mts.

if it was up to me spotting a tank should not give full vision to allys, intead place a mark that will refresh every 3 secs with the last know position of the enemy tank.
