Hello:
May I suggest that during the weekend either immediately preceding or following the release of 7.5, that all sales of vehicles from one's garage (not mounted equipment or unmounted modules) return full price of sale? Eg selling a Maus nets 6.1 million credits, and selling a M46 Patton yields 3.5 million credits. This will help with players who wish to acquire tier X medium and TD tanks and will encourage XP conversion for said objective.
This seems an interesting possibility to encourage tier X purchases and help players who struggle with the decision to sell tanks that they rarely play anymore benefit from selling them.

I am pretty sure that the average player on the NA server is not a fool and that they dont waste gold on creds

It wouldn't even have to be full price... I'd settle for 75% or something...
Even if the tier 9 Patton sold for full or 75% of the retail price I still need more credits from somewhere to buy the tier 10.
I can see having the low tier stuff sell for 50% all the time, there isn't a huge investment. The end tier stuff is already so expensive that if sold for full price you are still a long way from being able to buy the next without considerable grinding and/or gold use.
Even if the tier 9 Patton sold for full or 75% of the retail price I still need more credits from somewhere to buy the tier 10.

So, if I remember correctly, when you sell a tank, you sell it for half-the purchase price.
When they have a tank on sale for half price, you can sell it for half of the sale price.
Following this logic, they would have a 2x's credit value on sale special that coincided with a 2x's purchase price special.
No, seriously though, I'm not sure why they'd let you sell stuff and the purchase cost instead of merely putting the new tier X's on sale for half off. Wouldn't that accomplish the same thing as your stated desire and be easier for them to implement as well (fewer tanks having their purchase/sale price modified)?
Course, I've never seen anything over tier VII on sale (given limited experience), so I'm not sure that they'd consider anything geared around making tier X's easier to obtain.

Asking WG to do this is like asking them to shoot themselves in the foot. While I would never do it as I have no problem generating credits, the fact remains some people actually use gold to convert to credits because they are impatient and want their new tank now! I highly doubt WG would ever do this as I'm sure they make a nice little sum of money off of such conversions just like they get for elite xp conversions to free xp.

Actually what I want to do is trash out my IS-7, IS-4 and E-100 plus the Patton and the JT so I can just buy the three or four TX's I'm actually looking at. Still grinding the T30, Foch, and E-50, but then I'd have the credits.
If I do it right, I don't even have to sell the JT.
