I have a question for the players who've been in this game for a while. Where did the term "DERP" come from?
I know it refers to HE weapons that do lots of damage (example KV-2 152mm gun), but where did the term come from? Is it an acronym for something? Or a name of a gun? Or a term from another game entirely?
Just curious.
Thanks in advance,
CommissarKharkov

It has nothing to do with the game. The term "herp derp" is an internet meme.

derp
A simple, undefined reply when an ignorant comment or action is made. Brought to life in the South Park series, when Mr. Derp made a guest apperance at South Park Elementary as the chef for a day, followed by hitting himself in the head with a hammer and exclaiming "Derp!"
according to urban dictionary.
But I think it came from people just shooting the 152 and maybe typing derp to the other team? idk...my guess is as good as yours xD
Definitely a good question xD

Derp, the sound made by a retarded person. It's in reference to the fact you don't need a lot of skill to get kills. So for retards and knuckleheads like me, derp away friends. But please stop licking the monitor screen when in pub matches.
