ok so i got the t25/2.  im disappointed in this tank but it isnt upgraded yet.  it has been my experience the almost all the tanks are the suck until upgraded some.  but im seeing alot of hate for this tank and the t28 proto in the forums.  so what im asking is, is the t30 worth the possiblity of a turd grind through 2 tanks or just say the hell with it and be happy with my hellcat.

The T25/2 and T28p deserve their hate, the T30 and the upcoming T110E4(assuming it isn't nerfed a lot from what it is on the test server) are both great though. If you have a strong will I'd say it's worth the grind.

I have heard from people who used it that the T25/2 is one of those sort of lackluster tanks. Kind of like the Jagdpanzer IV. However, the T28 Prototype seems like a good tank from when I've faced it. It's fairly slow, but its gun packs a punch and it has pretty good armor.

The T30 is definitely a good tank.

Well, In a basic sence the T30 is an unarmored tank with a BIG GUN.

Its manuverability, camo, and turret are the only thing that will keep you alive.

If you are a player that likes to snipe, or follow the main push and support the front lines than this is the tank for you

However,

If your more of a brawler, or a "Here I am" kinda player by making yourself the center of attention, then buy a German Superheavy.

Also, if beware of the reload time. Its not bad, it just takes some getting used to especially because its like a 15 second reloade with 100% crew and rammer.

T30 is great! One of the things I like best is the niche you play on a given team. You are like haveing and extra tier 10 tank. Good turret armor good gun depression, great gun. So follow your tier 10 tanks use the terrain and give the enemy a really bad day.

The T30 is incredibly moody. Some games you are picking off those juicy targets at 400meters and seeing 900s floating above your victims. Other games you fire at that lovely side profile of that heavy tank only to watch your shell dip down and become a track seeking missile.

So it can be a great tank or a mediocre tank depending on how the Random number gods are feeling that match.

Praise and blessings to you all mighty RN God, may you make my T30 shots count!

love my T30.  RNG can be cruel to it though.

My T30 is my favourite tank. Even after the T110E4 comes out, I'll probably keep it.

The gun is the same as the T95's BUT, you have the speed and manouverability to put it into action on flanks, behind people, or generally, where you're not expected. The Turret armour is a bit of a dissapointment, I was expecting T32 standards, but it isn't. It has less turret armour than the T29. BUUUT, despite that, people generally don't pen your turret easily, unless they are high tiers or hit ur cupula.

Hull is glass, expect every shot on ur hull to pen. With that in mind, hull down, behind hills, wrecks, cover, anything.... hull down and use your cannon to blast foes into oblivion. My playstyle is to support heavy pushes... so enemy fire is distracted elsewhere, and then I pop out, shove a shell up someone's arse and take cover... OR, flank around behind enemies who are busy and again, play with their bits. If I'm alone, I'll hull down somewhere and try to hold the flank. A hulled down T30 is quite nasty.

Always bring a spall liner... wahtever else u carry, take a spall liner... like the T95, the T30 is an arty magnet.

Very dangerous (but unpredictable) gun.  Weak armor means you have to worry about every enemy tank.  But I like the T30.  Looking forward to getting the T110E4 though.

I love my Death-Wagon.  It was my very first Tier 10 tank..and it will stay in my garage.

-edited to add-

It always brings a smile to my face when the gun that can crack the planet's crust connects and punches through.

More like 17.13 seconds with rammer, vents, 100% crew.  It's still a great tank and a difference maker if you play it well.

I disagree with you here. It CAN take on a lot of 9s and 10s alone if you have the right cover (Hull down, Hill, Building, Rock, w/e) . I love my T30 and definitively recommend it. Might take you some time to learn how to properly utilize it.

Don't play the T30 until you master the T29.  Going hulldown on a slow chassis takes a lot of practice for some people (me!), and if you can't do it on the T29, you will die really fast in the T30.
