The good, the bad, and the ugly of 7.5 (Test #2), abridged:

The Headliners
  • 3 new maps
  • Tier X Mediums and TDs
  • Black Prince premium British medium, along with Super Pershing and Dickermax
Vehicle Performance
  • "reworked MatchMaking [...] normally players won't see vehicles +/- 2 Tier to the Tier of his vehicle"
  • Tier II-III TDs: all around performance reductions
  • Tier VII-IX French TDs: reductions mostly to RoF and maneuverability
  • Tier V-VIII French Artillery: reductions via dispersion and gun elevation
  • Tier VI-IX USSR Heavies: improvements mostly to turret rotation
  • Tier IX Mediums: better matchmaking, improvements to T-54, adjustments to Patton, reductions to E-50
  • IS-4, Maus, E-100: improvements in survivability, frontal turret armor, increased accuracy but reduced RoF for E-100 150mm gun
  • Select Tier IV-VIII USSR mediums and TDs: Rebalanced, does not appear to be as much of a nerf as before
  • Tier X Mediums and TDs: reduced penetration from HEAT round since first test
  • KV-5 is receving improvements to turret soft stats and durability, but removed from in-game store (this is official news)
Game Economy
  • Select Tier II-IV vehicles will see increased credit gain or reduced repair cost
  • Tier VI-VII US Mediums and turreted TDs will have reduced earning potential
  • Löwe is receiving a small (5%) boost to earning potential and decrease (8%) to repair costs
  • M6A2E1 is receiving a large (25%) boost to earning potential and decrease (30%) to repair costs
  • Ferdinand researchable from the Tiger P, Lorraine 155 50 researchable from the AMX 12t (the tier 5 light > arty path is now unavailable)
French Tech Tree Compensation
  • AMX 12t moved to Tier VI for free. Crew, equipment, consumables move with it. Free Tier V ELC AMX with 100% crew
  • Free camo for the ELC if you purchase it on the AMX 12t before the switch
  • AMX 13 75, 13 90, Lorraine each moved up a tier
  • Batchat 25t moved to Tier X with increased performance
Overall, there is more to be excited about than there is to be upset about. The two things that remain to be seen are whether the Tier X Mediums and TDs will be properly balanced, and just how much butt the new American maps will kick.

Including the 7.5 matchmaking chart (not updated for patch 2 yet, working on it)
Spoiler

(Note the fire brick color is intended to differentiate between positive and negative benefits, I am not a moderator and do not speak for WG. Check the news itself to confirm information in my post, particularly that on French tech tree compensation- you don't want to miss out!)

This looks great so far WG! Only things I would change now would be:

1 the pen on both T10  German heavy guns (increased both by 10-20 each)

2 Return some mobility to the batchat

3 Rebalance the AMX 50B

4 add a bit more power to the Super Perishing and T62a engines.

All in all very nice patch, I will be buying the Dicker Max and the Super Perishing on day 1. Can anyone confirm the MM for the Super Perishing will make sure it won't see tier 10s?

T62a - is in the final variant most probably.

AMX50 B will most probably be rebalanced in 8.0, when we gather statistics on influence of Tier 10 MT's and TD's on Tier 10 HT's

Also, since the other thread already got "archived"... For those of you that participated in test 1 (v1) you do not need to download that 666kb patch they have linked. It's the same as the v1 one.

You do need to run the launcher from your 7.5 test directory to update it to v2. No need to delete the v1 and re-copy 7.4 in...

It's mentioned in the news article, but thank you! It's always good to remind.

178/127/203 Turret Armor (front/sides/rear) mm

So have go final Test Server V3,
little more go up to 279mm there to end.

I think 178 does not include the gun shield, it is not really incorrect there as most tanks frontal turret does not include the gun shield armour thickness.
