Will we ever see these Tanks in game?   as   Tier    11 or 12?

Im assuming YES...  But only after the British, European, and Japese lines are in place...

I mean.... where else is WOT going to go with this?

Then theres also the "Isreal" or  Arab line? Super shermans..  Re-used Pz IVs M48 with/105  Upgraded Centurions

Lion of Bable.(T72 knock off)   and of course.. Merkavas...

Along with  M1A1, M1A2.. Challengers..   LeClerk...

Would they include into the German line.. the M48A5's that they kept in service FOREVER...

Would they even allow the Exceptional Vision into this Game that some of these tanks bring with them?

Would they Add to the Tank Destroyer Line... Missle Tanks.. M55 Sheridan..  or the German

Jagdpanzer with the HOT or TOW missle system.

heh i can imagine the TEARS... Missle systems would bring to this game... only way to balance that.. if you shot the tank
guiding a missle to you.. then you would throw the missle off..

In theory they want to keep it "WW2 ERA" despite a few 1960ish tanks in-game. The lead developer also hates missles and missle related ideas so we can be sure nothing like that will ever happen. And many suggestions for half track or jeep-like vehicles have been shot down. Full track tanks only. See the ASAP part 2 videos.

Maybe if there's a World of Tanks 2 :Smile_sceptic:

Apparently tanks that are too modern is a sensitive issue in WoT.

I tend to think that tanks like the Merkeva, Lion of Babylon, M1A1 Abrams, Shot-Kal...those guys are a bit too contemporary for this particular tank game.

i hope not and i seriously dout it. why? well the game is based on WWII era weapons and adding newer ones in could ruin that. plus, with modern tanks like Abrams and Merkavas and modern artilary, all or most kills could just be one shot kills, and would ruin the game. plus after WWII, range on all weapons increased a lot, with tanks shooting many miles and arty shooting guided missles beyond hirizons with deadly precision. so no, i really really dout it.

Tanks past the 1960's took major leaps in technology like advanced targeting and composite armors.
A M1 or even a M60 would be too powerful for this game.  It's worse than a tier9 going against a tier 10 because at least a tier 9 has a chance against a tier 10.A

A Tier 10 wouldn't have any chance against a tier 11.  The gap in technology is too immense once you get into the advanced armor styles and insane accuracy and agility.

That's WHY they chose 1930-1955 because it's the "golden age" of tank warfare.
There's a wide range of variety and tank styles.

Modern armor warfare usually consists of like 1 model of tank per side.  And instead of mixing up with heavies and TDs and so on, they're all lumped together in with MBTs.  Then scouting is relegated to aircraft and such.  To some extent MBT's even take the role of artillery some of the time.

That's the idea of the MBT, it can change roles on demand.  It made the idea of heavy tanks and medium tanks and TDs all really obsolete.  Now if we want a light armor vehicle, it also serves as a troop transport like Bradley's and Strykers.

But even with the 105mm, the M1 is too powerful.
You could make an argument for the M60, but I still think the idea of composite armor and advanced targeting vs 50's tanks is insane.

We already have tanks from WELL beyond WW2 and nobody is screaming how the game has been ruined. How much worse can it be? We already have 1960's light tanks whooping a$$ on 1940's heavies, so how different would it be for 1980's tanks to whoop a$$ on 1960's tanks? Or 1940's tanks?

There is no logic behind endorsing 1960's tanks in the game but not 1980's tanks. Every reason to include the currently existing most modern tanks supports adding even newer ones.

I already get waxed by tanks a generation or two newer than mine every day, so how different would it be to get waxed by tanks three generations newer?

ANSWER: Not much...

I say add'em all. In fact, add in future prototypes as well, be they flying, invisible, or rail gun mounting monsters makes little difference. They already shat on their original premise so what legitimate boundaries are there now?

they actually did have rocket trucks in WW2. I've seen some footage of some being fired off and its really impressive. but they are nowhere near accurate or guided.

Soviets utilized Katyusha rocket launchers in WWII with devastating psychological effect. The sound of thousands of those rockets impacting around German troops made them crack up. They weren't very accurate, and were used for area artillery. Their benefit was that they were FAST. You could launch a string of rockets in such a fast time frame that German soldiers would have trouble getting to their foxholes.

they would be higher that tier 11 or 12 more like tier 14,15+ they will include more early to mid cold war era tanks to fill in the evolution of tanks to those modern mbt.

I can see it coming maybe in the next year or two.

couple reasons why.

all successful mmo's regardless of f2p or p2p models have to add content to keep their player base interested.

I think this is another reason why +1/-1 tier match making is being implemented.

it makes balancing tanks easier for the devs, so it allows for easier implementation of higher tier tanks into tech trees.

While adding more stuffs to keep people interested is a valid strategy, tanks over Tier 10 is just absolutely not right for this game, like adding Starcraft stuffs in World of Warcraft.

why not level caps get increased all the time in mmo's and the tier system=level system in this game.
hence why the +1/-1 tier match making.
