Best Mouse for WOT?

Pointby's Photo Pointby Jul 27 2012

So I've been playing with a wireless Microsoft mouse 1058.  It's just OK for work, but I am thinking it sucks for WOT.  Looking at the Logitech G9X or G500 wired gaming mice.  I think either would be a huge improvement over the MS 1058.

How important is a gaming mouse to accuracy and general game performance?

If you have a favorite mouse, what is it?

TIA

I use the G500 and absolutly love it. It's the right size for my hand and when moveing across the desk it just feels "right" for me.

Not very. WoT isn't a twitch-based fast-paced shooter where a gaming mouse might make a difference. Any high-quality mouse with a good resolution will be fine for WoT.

As for me, I have a Logitech MX-400 wired lasermouse., and it's served me fine for several years already.

I've used a number of mice, none show very much difference. I used a Logitech MX-500 until it showed signs of wearing out. Currently, I use a Razer DeathAdder, but I notice no difference in performance.

Having a few extra buttons that you can map is handy. I have my TS push-to-talk controls mapped to my mouse.

As with most gaming mice, you will find that their laser DPI is much higher than your run of the mill MS office mouse. What this will translate to is much finer control of your view and reticle, which can be particularly handy when trying to make precise shots or damage specific points on an enemy. It will also help for long range sniping in scoped mode as it should reduce the clunky movement.

As far as wired vs wireless, I would say this is less of an issue than it used to be in years passed, as most wireless operates at higher frequencies now and hence reports movement and clicks very quickly to the computer, so make your choice based on price, comfort, etc.

Gaming mouse really make a difference when you going to aim weakpoints and long range shots.

Especially Russian guns ..

I use A4Tech G10 ,its gaming mouse , only 14$ , wireless 2000 DPI . Very nice ergonomic design. Much better than Logitech Wireless which cost over 36$ . Its lagless wireless mouse series , 2.4 GHZ  wireless spectrum it uses.

I use a logitech track ball. It took a bit of getting used to but I like the fact it's stationary and doesn't agravate my rotator cuff.

It especially pays dividends in arty satellite view as you can get that track ball rolling pretty fast to address different parts of the map.

I also finds it's easier to fine tune your aiming.

I use an old Logitech G5 gaming mouse.  I like that I can change the sensitivity on the fly.  I like a high sensitivity for playing arty but a lower one for TD and sniping.

I also have set up one of the side buttons for push to talk and the other for whispers in TeamSpeak.

The mouse wheel will activate my repair kit if I push it to the right and my fire extinguisher if I go the the left with it.  That function alone has saved me numerous times.  A quick flick of the scroll wheel and the fire is out or my track is fixed and my tank is moving again.

I just use a old microsoft laser mouse cost me about $10 fits my hand perfect and has 3 buttons.

For this game it really does not matter and even for other games a mouse that fits your hand is much more important then it's dpi or how many buttons it has.

For WoT, I don't think a gaming mouse is too important unless you're an absolute stickler for accuracy and reaction time. I personally use a Razer Deathadder and I have never considered using another mouse since. That'll run you about $60, but for me its the best $60 I've ever spent on a piece of gaming equipment.
