I was wondering if instead of having a platoon where you can only be on the same team, but where you can divvy up your platoon into who is on which team, kind of like a training room. Except you cant pick which map or which side of assualt you want to be or anything. So if you are lucky enough to have gold to buy premium, 1 guy could go on one team, while the other 2 could go on the the other side. Sorry if this has already been suggested before.

It's not such a terrible idea, because then you can battle AGAINST your friends, not just battle WITH them.

Maybe free team distribution. Like, instead of you dividing the platoon, the MM can do it for fairness sake. I like the idea of fighting against a friend in a public match.

This is a terrible idea that would instantly be abused to allow people to farm rep.  You are on teamspeak telling your friend to go to H7 so that he can kill you.  Or you simply relay information to the other side.  "Our arty is in A1 next to the bush"  It/'s not worth a -1 to rep, but it really is a brainfart....

I think the main problem with this is the potential for abuse. A friend on the enemy team could relay you information or sabotage them in a more direct manner. Friends could just go AFK to help their other friends win. People could set up bots on the enemy team. Imagine two arty players on opposite sides telling each other where all their other arty and TDs are hiding? They could just save each other for last and basically execute all the vulnerable players on the other team.

I wish there was a way to play against a friend outside of practice mode, but it just wouldn't work.

Oh yeah, one could start using two computers and two accounts, one with arty and one with any tank. You could relay info back to yourself on enemy positions, and cbing becomes easy.
