I can honestly say, that I have not noticed any difference with the 25% when not moving module on my isu-152. I have tried sitting entirely still, if even the barrel is counted as movement.

Really? I thought it was just moving the barrel (as in as long as your tracks are not moving).
So you can steer (aka turn on the spot) too? I'm unsure about that one myself (be great if t is correct though).

The binocular telescope is the eye of TDs, because the view range of TD is just limited.

And the radio signal range is much longer than TD' s view range.

Get one, and you will not regret!

BTW,

The binocular telescope is detachable, and the coating is locked on your vehicle.

I actually didn't know the telescope was detachable until they added the patch with the visual locks. I'm a newb. :D

I'm thinking of using both Binoculars & Optics instead of using a rammer along with cammo net & Crew.

I think if they do stack which they should and work than the advantage may be better than a rammer as you can see the enemy earlier to hit them quicker at a longer distance and perhaps stay more hidden due to that distance (so basically they can't see where you hit them from).

---

Fun question: Does it matter which order you stack them as base+10%+25% is different to base+25%+10%. I'm guessing instead of being accumulative both 10% and 25% are added to the base value independently so no variance.

UPDATE: Actually I don't think they stack at all. Just when moving you have +10 and when stationary you have +25. So when stationary same as binoculars only. Does anyone know for sure if they stack?

...considering that the gun can only move laterally about 20 degrees, I'm not sure how useful binoculars are. Meanwhile coated optics gives you the ability to push forward not just camp (I don't really camp that much on my ISU)...

In most cases, Binocs would be the best choice for a TD, but in your case - due to the tank you are in and the more "assault gun" style you seem to play - I think you're right, Optics are the way to go.

Turning counts as stationary. Only back and forth is considered moving. This is because TDs can turn in place. I can post the link to game mechanics if people want evidence.

I would like to see the link if you do not mind. I had always assumed movement beyond just the barrel of a TD was considered movement and broke camo and other movement effecting buffs.

This is not what's written here.

Turning the hull of the tank counts as moving and breaks both the Binocular Telescope and the Camouflage Net bonuses. Turning the turret or moving the gun does not count as moving (it does not break either the Binocular Telescope view range bonus or the Camouflage Net bonus). That's why, despite TD's bonus for camouflage is bigger, LTs, MTs and HTs are better for ambushing an enemy outside of your base.

funny how the wiki links to a page that contradicts the fact that turning breaks camo
