i was having a discussion with one of my friends on WoT and we decided it would be better to bring back swamp and to remove and or make malinovka like province where only lower tiers do the battle.
the map isnt consistent and its not usually fun
its a stand-off map and thats mostly why they removed Komarin

I wouldn't mind it being moved to low tiers ala province
on a side note: I actually enjoyed Komarin, is that weird?

Malinovka is just fine, unless you are just too lazy to go hill. It only gets bogged down by 4+ arties. The map is scout heaven.

Malinovka is fine, quit camping like a failtank and you'll be ok.

I really enjoy this map as it highlights the strengths of a good scout tank in the following ways:
1) Early short scout - Scout either does a quick scout in the field and falls back in order to spot a few tanks heading to the hill/East.
2) Early close combat scout - Scout runs to the other side and either takes protection from the buildings or the micro terrain near the water. Allows the team to get some shots or forces them to play honest and keep a defense force at base.
3) Passive scout the hill - Races up to the hill and finds good concealment. Uses camo value to passively scout tanks while arty/supporting tanks fire with little/no risk to themselves. This can destroy an entire flanking force if the get tracked/stalled on the hill.
4) Agressive Hill/Town scouting - Races up to the hill and waits for those first few tanks. Takes a shot or two and falls back. Then comes back for a few spots for arty, falls back. At this time his support should be up on the hill. He falls back down the hill and then spots from town. Can take a few passes at the forest/church depending on the side. This is that damn scout that you can never hit, shots up for 15 secs, hides for another 30-45 secs.
5) Arty hunter - The Bane of all arty. Uses the high ground of the pond and rolling hills to become nearly impossible to hit. Seeks out and destroys arty through spotting and aggressive maneuvering.
Very few maps give this many options for a scout. If you have a good scout and your team supports him, this map is not a camping map. Instead it becomes a coordinated flanking map that is very easy to win.

I like all the game's maps for one reason or another and wish that Komarin and Swamps were never removed. I can see the need to have set Province to low tier but that's the only one that really needs it in my opinion.

I don't think Malinovka needs to be removed. Maybe if they pruned the Magic Forest back a little bit, everyone wouldn't feel the need to head directly there and camp among the swaying pines?

This. Exactly.
It is a great map. The problem for random pubbies is that it requires rational thought and conscious effort.
If you just get a few people to ignore the "we have to camp" idiots and the "let's just zerg rush across the middle because the map sucks" idiots, you've got a good shot at victory, and a fun battle.

In a lot of games I hear people complain about Malinovka. These are invariably heavy tank drivers who sit in the based behind buildings or rocks.
Let's be clear: Malinovka is only a camping map if you WANT to camp. Don't blame the map.
There are plenty of other opportunities on that map.
On the other hand, Swamp was a horrible, horrible map that is designed to FORCE a head on meeting engagement. That's fine if you drive a heavy but it completely negates scouts and mediums. No map designer in their right mind should produce a map with spots where heavies can camp without fear of being flanked or exposed to artillery.
Malinovka is a wonderland of tactical options compared to Swamp.
