How Can I Raise My Win Rate?
__Endo__

Hello, I was just wondering how I could increase my win rate. I like to play the game for fun, but I also want to get a higher win rate, too. I want to know what I can do to improve my gameplay, and maybe make myself for efficient and effective in games. I figured that the people here in the forums have a good knowledge of this sort of stuff, so this is my first step. Thanks!

1. Don't fuss over stats- don't think dime wise, dollar foolish
2. Aim properly and make your shots count
3. Learn weakspots on tanks that you encounter
4. Review specs of tanks, know your enemy

Its not how "you" can improve your win rate. Its how the 14 other players on your team can do better to improve your win rate. You win rate is effected by 30 players counting you. If the 15 on the other team sucks then you win rate goes up, if the 14 on your team sucks then it goes down. Win rate is not based on individual game play but 29 others as well.
Which I got to say that since you are near 3,000 battles, you should probably know this by now. (Non-Insulting)
Besides, I don't waste my time with stats, except for my T49. And even in that I don't care about win rate in my T49.

Obviously first, win more than you lose. I play aggressive and wanted to raise my stats more as well, so became a little more passive. That doesn't mean camping, but not rushing right at the first tank in the open either. Learn to use cover, edges, buildings for duck-shoot-duck. As someone else said, know the spots on tanks to hit, usually ANY tank if you can, front lower center, between the tracks and body, back of the turret and domes are all usually good damage spots. It can be difficult in pub matches, but teamup with someone. Better to roll in pairs than singles.
Cheers...

Thats the problem Im having, people now, more than before, bring up my stats in the middle of battle because I am doing something they dont like, especially while theyre burning heaps. I have had people say that my clan should be ashamed of me, that I am useless to anyone, that I make errors all the time. Im just trying to have fun, but thats one of the reasons I want to get them up...
EDIT: Forgot to mention, +1 to both of you. Emothic, I didnt have enough for you, so IOU +1

The absolute easiest way is to play in a platoon. With a little coordination, you can be waaaay more effective than just one person. In particular, a medium 'wolf-pack' is probably one of the most effective things you can do in random battles.
I would check out the game mechanics section on the wiki, which is fairly thorough, and you'll likely learn some things you didn't know about the game and can use to your advantage.
Frontal weak spots will become more and more important as you rise through the tiers. Check out this thread to learn about the frontal armor of most vehicles, which is a more complicated thing than the in-game stats will show, and you'll have an idea of when and where to shoot. There are frontal weak spots to be learned if a certain tank is giving you trouble.
There's more valuable info out there, but you can only take in so much information at once so I won't bother. If you play thoughtfully and pay attention to what causes wins and losses, you'll improve a lot over time.

Had to laught at this. Okay, so Obviously your doing something wrong, because you are still alive. While they were playing the "right" way and they are dead. Seem more to me that you are playing the right way in surviving and they are blaming people cause they suck and died early. I see that if I'm still alive at the end of the game, I've played my vehicle the right way. I focus more on survival because you get far more exp and credits at the end of your game then if you died.
Also, who cares if they don't like how you play. You play how you want to play and what ever shape or form you wish. If you want to play a slow heavy as a scout then do it. A scout as a brawler, a Arty as a TD, doesn't matter. Cause there are no rules in the game saying that you have to play it this way. I play many tanks a totaly different way they were disgined, and about 40% of the time I survive and my team wins the game. The other 60% I died, but had a hell of alot of fun playing. (Now I just sit and wait for a very specific person to come in and troll my 2nd paragraph, cause I know he will.)

If you really want to improve your winrate you have to have some patience and focus, in battle and in the garage. Play the same tank again and again so you know its strengths and weaknesses. Spend creds or gold on crew training, equipment, consumables. Don't rush out in the open and die in the first minute of the battle; take cover, watch what is going on, make sure the enemy doesn't sneak up on your base. Work with other people on the team to gang up on lone enemies - don't be the guy who blunders around and gets fired upon by half the enemy team at once.

The best way to stay bad is listen to advice from people who are bad. Your stats are terrible but wanting to improve your own game play was the right attitude. Once you start making the excuse it's not my fault I just get bad teams you may as well stop playing.
As long as you're improving and learning from your mistakes your stats really don't matter. The best place for you to start is probably figuring out what you do in your PZ IV that you're not doing in your other tanks.

Some of how I got my win rate to go up and hold at 54% was. I supported my team I try to keep alive so keep a eye on my minimap all the time, I think people have told you to learn weak spots on tanks.
But one big thing I used to get better was I truned on my replays I watch what I did right and wrong and learned from that I also watched other replays here on the forums as well as on youtube.
I grew up on games like pong and asteroids so never was all to good with first perons shooters but this game I can deal with bit slower of a game to play. So learning how to get better was easyer you still have to hope that the other 14 player know what it is there doing.
Ohh one last thing dont camp one thing I have learned is camping dose not always work out to good. Dont get me wrong snipering is great but at some point you need to get done where the metal meets metal,
Hope some of this helps i am by no means am much more then a avarge player myself.

I haven't looked at your stats but here is some fairly generic advice on how to do well:
1. Raise your survival rate. You can't help win the game when you are dead. This means a bit more patience, use of cover and . . .
2. Learn the spotting system and how to abuse it. Shooting stuff while unseen is the best way to shoot. Fire when the bush between you and your enemies is solid not see through. In order to abuse spotting you need to . . .
3. Always fork out for a 75% (or better) crew. Keep tanks you do well and make sure they are fully equiped with mods. Getting sixth sense at 100% is strong, or better, for almost all tanks and it teaches you the spotting mechanics. Camo is great for tanks with decent or better camo ratings and awesome for high camo TD's etc.
4. Fight in company. Don't go solo.
5. Avoid positions where you get easily flanked. Do not advance up the middle without knowing exactly what you are doing.
6. Find out what tanks do well and try them.
7. Do not focus on getting high tier tanks and thus spend most of your time grinding stock tanks which suck. Get good at mid tier first and before that low tier.

i looked up your stats & imho you need to improve your gameplay seriously...
(you got nice wr in pz4 but only less then 200 dmg per game, it is too low, same for rest of your tanks)
first: watch yt guys how they do it, like PandyCol channel for example
second even more important then first: look at others driving tanks same as yours: http://mwreplays.com/ you can learn thing or two, where to aim on others, where to hide, how to flank.
first you watch replay as it is, second time with free cam to lookup details, i gave same advice to my friend and his gameplay improved from less-then-medicore 46% to quite good 51% wr in less then 1000 games (and i got fresh supply of great replays he diggs - everyday)
i hope this will help a little & good luck (wanting to improve is the first, very important step!)
little example from linked site (how to kill 13 red's in pz4):

3. Learn weakspots on tanks that you encounter
4. Review specs of tanks, know your enemy
This is all good advice, especially point 2.
For 3 and 4, only a very good number of encounters will make you learn about enemy tanks, unless you also own/play said enemy tanks(this is actually one of my main reasons for playing everything, only then will you become keenly aware of the strengths and weaknesses of these vehicles!)
Be aware of the strengths and weaknesses of your own vehicles. You own a Tiger(P), are you angling its hull in battles? Do you know what angling is?
Know what your vehicles are meant to do, based on where they are in the tier of the battle and also based on what gun they have(sniper or howitzer). Heavies are expected to lead the point if they are top tier. if your heavy is in the lower 3rd of the roster, you can do guard duty or help by sniping from the back. Fast mediums do anti-scout duty at the beginning, then look for support opportunities. Sniper mediums look for sniping opportunities.
Be aware of what happens on the mini-map.
Depending on what vehicle you are playing, look for opportunities to:
1) break out into the back of the map
2) get shots into the sides of the enemies
3) help a more important tank or TD by guarding its back or sides
4) balance the map sides(if it's obvious that too many are favoring one side, which most often than not does not work, except on Assault Offense, do you follow too that side or do you attempt to restore some balance by guarding a choke point in the hope of delaying the enemy advance?)
5) defend the base when the enemy is capping
6) form a wolf-pack
Do you try to stay alive in your AMX 12t? In your AMX 12t, try to run out of ammo, hitting all shots, and be alive by the time you have done that. Yes, you're a scout, but you only extremely seldom have to be a suicide scout. And learning how to do this will train you well for all the upper auto-loader French tanks.
Know when you are baited to shoot or go for an enemy vehicle, because his buddies that are watching his back are just waiting for you to attempt that! Most often than not, if its too obvious, it probably is too good to be true.
Good luck, I've tried to share with you whatever I have been doing to have my current W/L ratio, and even I know that I have lots of room still to improve!
