What's Up with US T10 Ammo Box

T110E5 & M48A1 both have ammo box like paper stick on chassis of the tank, and they are just got hit here and there.
Are they like Russian tanks now with compromised location for something else ?
Except they just don't blow up like match box in Russian tanks.

When a tank is prone to having ammo rack damage you should probably think about putting a wet ammo rack module on it. My t110e5 has one.
It just so happens that the t110e5 has ammo racks right behind it's frontal weak spots and on the sides.

supposing the parts of the tank which are easy to penetrate happen to be the same part where the ammo is stored...

Why are people on the forums so terrible at structuring a sentence?

Thanks for the tip, but the mods seems very fragile.
The gun will be damage when gun mantile got pen'd, or HE shell from top of turret.
It seems US T10 tanks mods are make by low grade thin metals.

Even then, you should still try to help them with their questions instead of making replies like yours.

Maybe they're just those unlucky tanks that having a wet ammo rack is an unwritten requirement for? Sucks to have to tie up an equipment slot with that, but if you're getting racked all the time, it's definately something you should consider.

It's, sadly, not the brawling style tank that we would all like it to be :(
Just look at the thing all over in your garage, It's got a massive, well armoured turret with a hard hitting gun on it. It's a defensive tank.... meant to be dug into a revetment and keep the mass tank attack back. Defence against ammo ignition was to place it well down below the turret in an area that normally be protected by mother earth. Simple.
If you want to brawl.... have a WAR and pray

What happen if you can't find cover for the hull ? There is no guarantee always cover for the hull, and being heavy taking frontal hit often happen.
If it is 1 handy cap feature like transmittiion in the front for all German that could catch fire, I just find it quite hard to play tanker when your front is heaviest armor yet it has very vulnerable spot.
How about Patton 3 ? And please don't tell me being defensive in a medium.
Medium is mobile with firepower, and covering front hull is not going to happen when you are on the move.

I've not heard anything about the Patton 3 being exceptionally inclined to be ammo racked as for the T110 tank destroyers eh, 155mm shells are big and so are all the powder bags for them that bins are just massive.
