I get it!  I get it now!

I just purchased the E2 with a 75% crew and finished two matches in it.  The Jumbo definitely takes a licking and keeps on ticking.  My first time out was nothing spectacular, but she shrugged off three or four hits that would have atomized the M4A1.  No kills in that match.

The second match, however, created a recording worth saving.  This time I just rolled out in the direction of the enemy, to test her out and see what she could take.  Boy, oh boy!  35 solid hits, all from the front, before she called it quits.  Thirty-five!  Previously, taking just five glancing blows in the M4A1 made me grateful and proud.  You should have seen the comments from the other team in the chat window, a bunch of wtf, BS, kill it already, etc.  It was great!    Funny thing is that I got no kills in that match, either, as I was busy admiring how well she absorbed hit after hit from other tanks and even artillery!  Hope I didn't cheese off my teammates too much with that...

The Jumbo is slow, and has the weak default 75mm gun, but that will be fixed soon.  I just now have to try not to develop any bad habits in the E2 that will get me frequently and prematurely killed in the next tank, the E8.

Definitely a keeper!

Oh, switching to other US mediums after Jumbo will be full of "Why that IS-4 penetrated me? o_O". Just playing in Jumbo makes bad habits of having trust in armor, not good thing in other tanks.

Yes I love the Jumbo but it was not always like this. The new Match Maker allows the Jumbo to be at the top of more battles where I have fun in it.

THis.. and actualy the regular pershing isnt to far off from the E2.. its like an E2 with less armor. the SP is an E2 with less speed.

If you are continuing up either the US HT or MT line, it's too late for you. You are already reinforcing horrible habits that will bring you nothing but your own smoking wreckage if you do.

Glad you are having fun with it at least. gl

there is nothing quite like finding that perfect hull down spot and hearing round after round bouncing off your turret and reading the abuse of the opposition :D

This, just because you have some hull armor does not mean you should be exposing it unless you absolutely have to.  The US meds, heavies, and turreted TD lines, are mostly about abusing terrain.  The better you learn it the better you will do.

I held off an IS, a Panther, and a T20 this way. I had teammates behind me using me as a spotter and providing covering fire, and only got killed when a KV-3 showed up to help his buddies. I think I got shot 25 times.
