How much exp, approximately, will I need to immediately research the SU-100M-1?

But since it's a sidegrade, shouldn't be more than the SU-152's 31.5k research cost

Moreover - TDs tree is not finalized according to devs - they could make changes to it. So wait for Test server to see, and after this you will have 2 weeks to save exp.

And not just on the Soviet line, but on all of the lines. Because then it just wouldn't exactly be fair.
But from some of the renders I've seen, and also by looks alone. Why would you want to skip all of those tanks ?

My guess is about 15-20k xp.
Same tier, same class, so make xp cheaper.
See KV-2 to T-150: tier 6, heavy, only 13k xp, VK3001 to VK3601: 8500xp, Tiger P to Tiger: 25k

Though in the Test server they are giving us access to everything without researching anything all the TANKS. And this is the Actual 8.0 Test Server that is.

Unless they've changed something since the In Development post, the SU-100M-1 is a Tier 7 TD, so I'd say expect the usual 45-50k exp to go from the SU-100, although it may be as high as 60k-ish (JgPz4->JgPanther).

Clearly shows the SU-100 (tier 6) opens both the SU-152 (tier 7) and SU-100M1 (tier 7).  I Have to agree with Karl (above) plan for about 50K, but as we've been cheated on Russian TD's before (300K+ for Obj 268) I would try for about 70K to be safe.

This topic is old, and started when the old tech tree showed that SU-100M-1 will be tier 6 and SU-122-44 is tier 8
45-50k is fair enough, the reason why 704 needs 300k xp for 268 is it doesnt need to unlock the final gun (BL-10) but the others

I don't have it in front of me, but I am nearly positive that unlocking the SU-152 in my SU-100 cost ~32k xp (I checked my tech-tree when I rebought my SU-100).  I would therefore expect, like Legiondude said, that the SU-100M would cost approximately the same amount of xp as the SU-152, since they are both Tier 7 TDs. I have saved up ~40k, but don't expect it to cost more than 35k.
