In my opinion the Hispano is the better gun and I have tried both. My ten kill game in my T1 is with the Hispano (please check my in game T1 stats, I know this tank well).
With the Hispano, you should be trying to kill tier I tanks with the first 5 of 6 bursts (i.e. hit the target) and duck & reload as soon as target is dead. Reloading at the right times helps a lot!
Hard cover and only showing as little of your tank are possible to the enemy are also key to playing this tank well with either gun.
With tier II tanks, you need to pay attention to what and where you are shooting. The Hispano cuts through BT2's and T26's like butter; but 38H's are a problem UNLESS you kill the crew ;-)
(i.e. fire right at the drive and commanders windows if it comes down to that) Since a good 38H driver isn't going to let you kill their crew, it is better is just get them to chase you, and then drive back and cap.

I have bad memories with the Hispano. Like the time every single shot either bounced or did no damage when I failed to kill a Pz38H with 10% HP left, while he took all my HP (I was 100%) in just 3 shots.
After that I went for the reliable 38mm and stopped the sprayin' 'n prayin' once and fer all.

Agree with Brygin, the Hispano decimates tier 1 & 2 tanks! If I can run up on a tier one or some tier 2's (BT2) I can kill them with one clip in my T2 light. It's one of the most blazingly quick kills if you're close enough for all your rounds to find thier mark.

That was exactly what I was talking about. One needs to know which tanks you can take out and which to track and run. All tier I's and most tier II's you can just take out. Pz38H is BIG the exception. The Tetrarch on the other hand, dies quickly
I agree the 38mm can penatrate more, but the super quick killing ability of the Hispano is just amazing.
HINT: Go to http://wot-news.com/...rver/us/norm/en drill into the USA tank stats look at those players with the highest win rates with the T1 and then see which gun they are using!

Hispano. Can't beat over 1500 exp., 20k credits, and 8 kills (not a x2 game). This is THE weapon to have as a tier 1, especially since most games will be in all tier 1 games
