First off I suck at this game in general. I'm not the worst but I definitely suck. Before you say my argument is invalid because of this, attack my argument not myself.

I just had a battle in my IS-8 (which I just started to understand, but go ahead rip at my horrendous WR in it) in which my team was less than good. I however was having a decent battle. I had killed 3 enemies, including their arty, and 2 normal tanks. I also damaged 5 other enemies including ~1200 damage to JT, ~900 to T29, and then other tank which I hit once or twice. Now this isn't a great battle but it isn't nothing... at least I didn't think it was nothing. After finally dying, due to no support whatsoever, I said only so much I could've done there (Was pretty much surrounded by 2 Tier 9 TD's, a couple Med's, and arty raining on me). I get the reply from a cheeky T-50-2 "You can't do anything, that's why you have 49% WR. You did nothing which is why you lost." I find this a little ridiculous. The fact that my WR sucks doesn't mean I didn't get 3 kills and 5 damaged. I'm pretty sure if I had some support I would've done much better. It doesn't mean I never have done anything in my 5000+ battles. I may not do as good as others but I certainly don't do nothing.

Another battle, our top tier heavy suicided and died in the first minute. I call him out on it and the response is "F*ck off f*cking noob. You don't know a damn this about this game stupid piece of sh*t. Maybe when you get 51% like me you can talk sh*t but for now gtfo loser." I checked his stats and his 50.5% WR was the only stat he was higher than me in... In fact, most of my stats were far superior to his despite mine sucking horribly. Perhaps WR shouldn't be the only thing you judge a player by? Perhaps you shouldn't tell players they suck when you have 191 experience per battle? I'm sorry but this is getting stupid. WR is a very important stat, but it isn't the ONLY stat. If you have worse stats than me but have a slightly higher WR, guess what? You're not a pro. If you are better than me I respect that fully and my only request is you try to help the bad players like myself instead of being an ass to them.

WR is dependent on the amount of good players, NOT the good players itself....

No one's a pro dude, so if you might wanna get better, try tank companies, cause I'm sorta like you, I suck at World of Tanks in a way, but in another way I dominate.

When I was a recruiter for my clan, I would always look at the grand scheme of things. I don't know why I said that even though I meant their entire stats. Usually I like to check the total damage done in comparison to the total number of battles and the average EXP.

Basically win rate does in some ways reflect on the player's performance overall but at the same time, it also reflects the other 14 people on the team. So unless you are like Garbad and can miraculously drive a loltraktor and kill 15 IS-7's, I wouldn't really worry too much about that number.

WR is way overrated (and killcount too) IMO judge a player after the dmg he deals, and other battle performances like spotting and co. And such trolls like those guys you often get, just ignore them and play how you want to play. If somebody rants on you and you know he hasnt has a reason ( if you suicide in a top tier tank then you deserve it) just ginore him.

also, the damage dealt is more important then WR.

Well, I will say that if you don't want to get blasted by the players, perhaps you should take your own advise and shut up during a battle regardless of how stupid your top tier plays or no matter how well you think you performed before you died. Just an idea.

Don't let them get to you. Somebody is always going to find fault in something you do, regardless of how well you play.

So just play hard, try to win, and have fun pew pewing internet tanks.

Win ratio is only important to those who want to make an issue of it.  There's several threads running around discussing this very subject.  To save people the trouble of looking, mine is currently 49% (and dropping).  I was recently in a clan with several good players, only one of which had a WR over 50%.  We've all experienced several kills and still lost the battle.  Logic would tell us that for every 45% player, there's a 55%.  Don't think that's true though.

More to the point, regardless of how well you do, there are always those who will complain.  I usually just keep my mouth shut.

I have a 45% W/R and got 5 kills in a battle with the M3 Lee on Lakeville...
I've done that twice , and have come close to 6 kills, but I can never get that 6th one...
I still consider myself a good player, even though my W/R is 50% or below.

Here's my general impression of your profile after looking at it for a minute or so:

You don't suck so quit downing yourself.

Your WR is average. Your accuracy seems a little low. Your average experiance is better then mine, so either you're playing more high tier battles then me, you have premium, or you're actually better then I am.

Finally, you don't spend much time in your tanks so you don't give yourself much time to work them up and learn how to use them on the battlefield.

My suggestions are:

Play your tanks more to build them up and learn how and where they work in the various maps.
Take the extra time to aim your shots. The story you mentioned in the OP is great. Keep doing that!
With your high numbers of detects and low survival rate, I'd say stop scui-scouting, it doesn't help your stats or your team much.

Once you do that your win rate in the various tanks will go up and eventually boost your general win rate.
