Should I get the type 62 and is it worth it?

I'm not really sure if I should get this tank or not because I generally don't play light tanks as it doesn't fit my play style I tend to prefer my TD's and heavy tanks. Also on a side note I do terrible in my type 59 however I am getting better with it.

t62 does work well as a Td. IT very high camo rating low profile and zippy power makers it an Okay td. Think of it as a Chinese Chaffee

Judging from what you have said I would say no. The type 62 is going to be fun for a person who likes to think their way through a fight and use the speed and maneuverability the type has to offer to survive, not armor and brute force. You sound like the type that would be better served by a Lowe or IS-6 for grinding. Dont be afraid to try it out though, you may surprise yourself...

here is the bottom line if you want to go cheap go type 62. if you want a good tank you go type 59 ok? My type 59 will bulldoze a type 62 so go type 59.

Ruger, read everything he wrote. He already has T-59.
If you like T-59's style, go for T-62. Otherwise, take metal's advice.

I never thought of playing it as a TD. Could I get away with playing just like a hellcat or at least similar?
Go ahead, Newfy. Try and play whatever tank that fits your gameplay style.
Also, tanks that are good snipers but fast are generally german mediums and french light-mediums.

It isn't that zippy. But it has a lot of potential, like the ELC AMX.
I think some people will have need to make some adjustment to their playing styles to get the best out of it

Ok thank you all I appreciate the help and the time you all took to reply. I think I will try this tank out and see has it goes and if I do terrible I'll just have to work on it to get better with it

Rule 1 with Type 62. BE PATIENT. Don't rush into the thick of battle, you will not survive. Flank, snipe, harass, passive scout.
These take patience and not running in hell for leather. Now if you want to run round the battle field, drive like a chaffee. duck and dive don't go in a straight line.
Personally i don't use this as a scout, it's a flanker and well if i see a tank when i am shooting at it. well i am scouting it i guess

Don't get it. If you're bad at your Type 59, then you'll probably be worse at the Type 62. It has less armor, less gun. If you can't survive as your Type 59, then your Type 62 is going to be nothing but frustration for you. The Type 59 is all around more profitable than the Type 62 and you're going to eventually enjoy and use the Type 59 better than you'll probably use the Type 62.

Yikes! Ok, well, enjoy it, and good luck to you! Probably nothing better to learn on than it, tbh. If you can succeed with the Type 62, then you can succeed with any of the scouts, and it'll at least be easier on your pocket book. ;)

with 75% crew, this tank is sluggish. It is not a scout. I play it like a small medium and it works well in this role. It plays very similar to T-34/85 but makes more money. It will be great once fully upgraded.

Some good advice there!
For me this is a pretty nice tank because I like light tanks and scouting. The 62 has good camo and is quite capable as a passive scout, it also has an OK gun and is able to take advantage of situations and put a shell in when and enemy is distracted.
This is a light tank that is reasonably fun to use and makes a reasonable profit, it doesn't take all that good a battle to make over 30k profit (on premium account).
The T-50-2 is probably more fun but it would take one hell of a battle to make 30k profit.

If you don't like lights then don't get this tank. It is a tough light with a decent gun, but it is still a light.

Have only played four games but so far I like it. Have an average of two kills per game. It makes good money and I feel that I am adding value in each game. My only criticism is the top speed. They should have given it a 55 top speed.
