Questions RE: Panther 2...

So, my favorite tank is the E-50, but with the recent nerfs and how expensive it is to run (I don't use premium), I'm considering going back to the Panther 2. However, as it's been ages since I've last played a Panther 2, I wanted to ask some feedback.
1) How squishy is it? How bad is the module damage? Does it seem to burn, explode, and/or become maimed after just a few shots? Or is it fairly reliable?
2) How much does a full repair cost? I don't necessarily need to make large sums of credits off of the Panther 2 (that's what my Lowe is for), but I don't want to be stressed out about missing a shot and having that prevent me from breaking even. (That's what's happening in my E-50, on the chance that I miss/bounce a shot, I lose ~1.5k credits.)
3) Given that I intend to replace the E-50 with the Panther 2, should I sell the E-50 to buy the Panther 2? Or will I regret that some time in the future? (Alternatively, I could sell the T-54, but I haven't finished eliting that tank yet.)
4) Any other thoughts on the Panther 2?
Thanks all!

3) No, absolutely no. You will regret it.
Why are you selling a high tier tank for a low tier tank?
If your short on money, get a tier 5 or 6 tank for credit grinding.

Keep the E-50 to grind for Ausf M, it's worth it.
Panther II's module damage rarely happens as long as you aren't flanked, or snipe shots doesn't hit the side. The repair cost is 14k, I believe. Maybe the credit issue is because you're trying to reach T-62A and Ausf M at the same time? Work at a steady goal. Also, it's nice to just play 200 battles on Lowe a week for a few mil to have ready.

Because I rarely play the E-50 anymore precisely because of the pressure of having to make every single shot count in order to come out even in a game. I don't find that fun.
Don't get me wrong; I know how to play an E-50, and it's not hard to consistently make a 10k profit without premium. But in order to do that, I have to make just about every single shot count and I actually have to contribute to a battle without using kits. If I die early to a lucky arty (or something else) hit, then that's almost a guaranteed 12-15k credit loss.
I'm hoping that a Panther 2 will perform similarly without that kind of pressure. Ammo for the Long 88 is dirt cheap compared to the Long 10b, and repairs should also be cheaper.

I was thinking about grinding to the E-50 aM, but I wasn't impressed by it while playing on the PTR. I just don't have an interest in T10 tanks because of the upkeep. And I'm not actively grinding for the T-62A; I only unlocked and purchased the T-54 because of the recent sale and I only had 10k experience left on my T-44. lol
To be honest, this would all be a moot point if the M18 Hellcat looked, well, cooler and didn't have atrocious traverse rates. That tank.... man I love it.
Edit
Repair cost of ~14k doesn't seem too bad, but that might be just at the cusp of being annoying to break even. I don't recall what I typically make on my Tiger H, but it seems to be around 20k on average. So maybe the Panther 2 won't be too bad.
Hrmm...

For the Tiger P? I don't recall fire being a big issue, but I had some ammo rack issues. However, it might have been just a bad streak.

If you do not have fun with the E-50, get the panther 2 for sure. Your better of keeping tanks you enjoy then the ones you don't. Plus the panther 2 is a pretty decent t8.

The Panther II isn't per se a 'money tank', but it's certainly a bit cheaper to run than the E50. I also find E50's ammos pretty pricey... Sometimes the repair bill isn't so bad, but since I usually shoot 10-some shells, there's a 10k or so gone right there.
However is it just me or the E50 'weight' has been changed for MM? I find myself more often at the top than before...
The Tier 8 Panther II also faces enemies that it can deal with, which is nice...

I used to have a Panther II but sold it when I got the E-50, just like you. I liked the P2 and would be happy to drive it again and with lower repair and ammo cost it has to be cheaper to run. I have a free account too and have learned not to worry about the high cost of 105mm shells. It's a game and they're free! I kept a few lower tier tanks for fun and credit and have more silver than I really need to support my tier 8 and 9 tanks. If you run out of silver, either play more lower tier tanks or step back to the P2.
One tip, buy stuff when it's on a half-off sale. That way repair kits cost only 1500, not 3000. Same for rammers, camo nets, etc.

Just sold my E50 and returned to the Panther 2 for many of your reasons, I don't use premium and I'm not grinding to the E-50m.

thats one of the main ones.
