Hey guys! Just wondering, what is a matchmaking value or tier 11/12? I don't understand what it means.

See the Portal tab up top?  Click it and then the wiki tab and all your questions will be answered.

It's the battle tier, not a vehicle tier.

There're lots of tanks in this game, and they all need appropriate matchmaking, which is hard to materialize properly. So matchmaking range needs to be larger than the actual vehicle tiers, to accomodate all T1~T10 vehicles. That's why there're tier 11~12 battle tiers.

First thing you need to know is: Battle tier is totally different thing that vehicle tier.

If tank is meant to visit battle tiers from A to B, it will only meet machines that have overlaping battle tier spread. For example: machine with spread from 9 to 11 can meet machine with spread from 10 to 12 as they overlap at 10 and 11.

To read MM chart, select tank you are interested in and check with what machines its battle tier spread overlaps.

I don't understand this list. It needs a legend and what is the difference between battle tier and tank tier?

Lets make it on example then: KV-5. - it is listed on bottom of chart as it is one of exceptions ( it is to weak to fight against tier 10's, hence special MM )

Battle tiers: 8-9.

Bottom of spread: 8
Peak of spread: 9

Battle tier spread overlaping with
-Light tanks: tier 4-8. ( light blue color )
-Medium tanks: tier 6-9. ( green color )
-Heavy tanks: tier 6-9. ( dark blue color )
-Tank Destroyers: tier 6-9. ( purple color )
-Artillery: tier 4-6. ( red color )

Thats the list of vehicles that KV-5 can meet, unless MM will be disturbed by platoon.

Pink: battle tier spread of KV-5.
Black: overlaping battle tiers - look to the left of black rectangles and read out vehicles or tier.

A battle that can only have tier 5 and 8 lights, tier 7 and 8 SPGs, and tier 10 medium and heavy tanks and tank destroyers.

you just move the coloum over to the left, so same tanks as before, but now you add in tier 9's and tier 5 lights etc etc

Just relocate pink collumn below number 11 instead of 12 and read out chart in same manner.
