AMX M4 1949

Here are a couple of pictures of the very fictitious AMX M4 1949. The tank will be equipped with a 120mm gun and the turret used in the game is derived from another version of the AMX 50B.
Can't wait to get your hand on that tank? Neither can I.

Fictitious? Do you mean Non-fictitious? Or was this tank truly fake?
On a side note, I believe that's the tank from the Frenchy reveal trailer... That tank is the sole reason I ground out the French line... I was so disappointed when I found out the 50B was the tier 10 instead....
Cheers.

I'm pretty sure that's actually the AMX 65t, which was the original tier 10 heavy. I believe the M4 model 1949 had a single-piece front hull, not a pike shape.

No, I meant fictitious. I found blueprints of a 1945, 1946, and 1950 M4, but nothing about a 1949 implementation. Furthermore, the turret portrayed in the pictures is a 1954 turret that was designed for the AMX 50 B.
The only design by French manufacturers that ever happened in 1949 was one of the two AMX 50s prototypes. Keep in mind that because of a very strict RFP by the French Ministry of Defense, both the AMX M4 and the AMX 50 B look similar. And they should, as they were produced by the same factory. AMX = Atelier d'Issy les Moulineaux. From what I read, the main difference between the AMX 50 and the M4 were the tracks, but I can't verify that.
Actually, the only known (at least by me...) development from the AMX M4 was the AMX-50 Foch, which should show again of the similarities between the AMX M4 and the AMX 50.
As someone else posted in another thread ... "who cares, let's enjoy them" ... I guess.
Workable link about the AMX 50 B with the 1954 turret from the French Ministry of Defense.
