How to Increase FPS?

soulchain247's Photo soulchain247 Aug 14 2012

I was just wandering what's a good way to increase the FPS (frames epr second) of the game? Ive already went into preferences and changed the scenery texture(or whatever it is) to 2. Any other ways? I mean my laptop is alright for playing this game, but i just wish the FPS was just a little bit higher.... All suggestions welcome

Other than that, there isnt a whole lot more. Have you tried WoT tweaker?

Edit: what are you getting for FPS currently.

Wait for Patch 8.0 dude. :)

There's a FPS "readjustment" in that Patch.

After you start WoT alt+tab to desktop. Open task manager, then processes, right click on WoT and set priority to high. I gained about 10 fps doing this.

I do not know if this is an actual effect, or my computer is just being happy lately, but when I was installing a realistic sound mod, I took out a lot of the noises that the mod didn't replace (mostly the commander talking, he gets annoying) and my fps has increased by around 10-20

Best way is buying new hardware, works for every game.

Part of it is WoT, and part of it is you. They're updating for multi-core and such in 8.0, so there hopefully will be better perfomance too. I get around 40fps on low, which is quite sad since I can play most high end games at high with 60fps. I find that if you tab out during a game or before it (don't  know if this applies to in the garage), I lose a lot of fps, usually half. You could always upgrade your computer, but for this game it doesn't seem like you'd be getting the best bang for your buck since I'm having problems with a great graphics card +cpu :\. Try waiting for 8.0 though, we're expecting great things from Wargaming, and deliver they will.

I just bought an i7 3930K overclocked to 3.84ghz for when multicore comes out.  It's also got two GTX 670's in SLI.  This is what I recommend.

Shortest of short answers : Wait for the new rendering engine with multicore and multi gpu support in 8.0 (I would hope this new rendering engine does indeed have both)

Shut down any programs in background that you do not need. This will free up ram to be used by the game.
Also go into your power settings and change it to high performance. Be aware however that this will consume more power, thus create heat. So if you have a cooling problem stick with solution 1.

I absolutely HATE it when people say 'Well just go buy a whole new computer." Um most people dont just have the money to go out and buy new gaming rigs. Your reply was unhelpful, and unappreciated. Have a nice day

If you don't mind spending a little money I got a great FPS boost by getting a better graphics card than the crappy original my computer had. All my games and addictions run much better now with no more issues.

Hey if it's in the shop tell the tech your issues and I am sure he will be able to get you the most power out of your machine.

That has NOTHING to do with what im trying to imply. Not eveyrone goes out to buy a computer specifically for gaming.I sure as hell didnt. They're too expensive.I bought a computer because i needed a computer, its a MULTI-TASKING tool. And if i want to try to play games on the side then i will, like i do.

But if your just dieing to know:

OS Version: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium
System RAM: 3690 MB
CPU Name: AMD E-450 APU with Radeon™ HD Graphics
CPU Speeds: 1320
Physical CPUs: 1
Virtual CPUs: 2
Video Card Description: BB Capture Driver
VRAM: 384 MB
Primary Display Resolution: 1366x768
