  • you need to download and install Dokan library (it gives you support for special file systems) its free download from official website
  • you need to download and install Microsfot .net framework (dont remember the version (if you have it already you dont need to install) its free download from official website
  • you need to download and install XVM (remember that after you install the XVM mod, you need to add a config file to worldoftanks\res_mods\0.7.5\gui\flash\  (you can find diferents PRE-Configured files inside multiple folders at the xvm-doc folder located at your worldoftanks folder (after xvm was installed) download free from official project website ( code.google.com etc,... )

  • YOU NEED TO RESTART YOUR COMPUTER.

  • You need to open the game from the xvm file located at the worldoftanks folder.

  • you need to have fun

my english is not good but this step by step its very easy to follow.

BTW Remember that XVM is a Combo of mods that customize the game. and remember that if you want the "Statistics mod" you need to download the "Full Version" beause the "Lite Version" does not have the statistics mod

  • Make sure the right version of .Net is installed. If you're not sure just go ahead and install the latest version
  • Make sure Dokan is installed. This is specified in the instructions
  • Copy the Res mods folder from the extracted folder to the replace the res mods folder in your WOT folder. If you already have stuff in there, like other mods that you don't want overwritten, then copy the contents of the res mods folder over piece by piece.
  • Choose the config file you want and put it in the right place.
  • If you want the start up screen with win probability and player's stats then you have to start WoT with the .exe app that is specified every time you run WoT. Easiest way to do that is to just pin that app to your task bar.
Personally, I find XVM to be hugely distracting and of pretty much no value at all. The in-game interface is gharish and busy, and the win percentages are largely useless.

A. There are good guides out there, but not just one might contain what you need, but keep at it and you'll get it.  It _can_ be frustrating.
B. It can suffer from multiple problems.  I have had to:
-Reinstall dokan for no good reason to get xvm working
-"unblock" the essential files so win7 would stop preventing it from working (right click menu)
-Restart wot
-Restart computer
C. It can not work when it isn't your fault.  It fails commonly to connect to the mothership.  If you see your own stats, tho, that means it is working.
D. Check the dos box (black box) for messages and errors and google those, but they don't always mean it's a fail.

Good luck.  I think it is a great tool and has done the most to change my game....

Kiwi incorrectly used the number instead of the spelling out of "five/5". Overlooking that grammar mistake I still consider it a "word". Much as you might say "U 2", meaning "you too".

Quote

Rule 1
Spell out single-digit whole numbers. Use numerals for numbers greater than nine.
Examples:
I want five copies.
I want 10 copies.

Maybe he wants to learn the game (something xvm will help him do) and not remain a noob forever, like you have accomplished.
