i am sure i am not the first person who has posted something like this but i really want too put in my two cents! lets face it, the gun physics in this game aren't the best, and i am really hoping for improvement in that in the future.... i have noticed with what is supposedly a really powerful gun, beacomes a pea shooter, for example, instances where sherman firefllies where taking out tigers with just a few shots, is almost impossible in world of tanks, but it happened all the time in the real world!
what i am trying to get at here is you should't have to shoot 10 times in a spot that in all actuality would render the tank useless if it where just to take one or two hits! i got into a scruff with a KV-5 and i got him down too 17% health, i backed up and aimed for his tracks, the shot was at about a 45 degree angle, i fired, thinking it would do the job, i mean a 90MM cannon from a super pershing, in real life that thing would go right through the susspension and tracks and stuff, tear taht apart, then go through the hull, and do massive damage to what ever was inside, in real life that would probably be the end of that tank right there! i fired and to my dismay only minor damage was done too the tracks, he was still fully operational, and his healt had not deminished at all, he was still at 17%
there have been instances i have hit where the engine would be and only a small fraction of health went on the target tank, but in real life the tank would be DONE!!! i have seen ricochets on fenders that where pritty much thick sheet metal, and the round would have went through its tracks and ripped them apart. in addition the penitration ratings for these guns are greatly under rated, a 90MM cannon in a super pershing could penitrate over 200MM of armor from a distance of around 500 yards, if i remember correctly, i have had instances where shells bounce off at point blank range, when it probably in that case could have drilled itself into armor at least 50-100MMs thicker. but the primary issue is, is how we are rating the damage for these shells!
i say we rate the shells damage depending on there impact point, i dont care what tank it is, a T-1 Cunningham, or a King Tiger, if it takes a 90MM shell and it penitrates into the engine comparment, no even a 76mm shell from a jumbo sherman its going to rip the engine to bits, if it hits the tranny, its going to tear it to peaces, stuff like that, and it also does damage to other components of the tank as well. should a M-26 Pershing be able to do heavy damage too a Maus! yes! if it hits it in a vital spot! i should be able if i can get a good shot at the engine bay, take a quarter of that tanks health away with one shot, not have to try to shoot over and over, then die beacuse i cant kill it fast enough, or see someone ells take the kill away when the health finally dwindels far enough down, a M-26 Super Pershing should not have to shoot a Tiger Tank five times in the tail end to kill it! in real life that tiger would die in just one shot almost anywhere on that tank... we need to make the Gun Physics a little more realistic in this game, and a little more reasonable for smaller guns, like 76 and 90MM Cannons!

Guess what buddy, this isn't real life, it's an arcade style game.

Welcome to WOT, at less than 1000 battles, you are still catching on how this game works.
The hit-point system on the tanks keeps the game playable.
It is not fun going out and being "one-shotted" or (even 2 shotted) without a chance to make a difference.
And so the arcade part of the game is this pool of "hit points" that is very tied to the Tier system (another construct).
Now, once you embrace the game as it stands, it again becomes fun.
Have fun, not reality.
BTW currently an USA M1A2 MBT can one shot any tank... and cannot be one shotted by anything, how fun would that be?

First of all, the Firefly isn't in the game yet. I'm guessing you mean the Easy 8 which had the same caliber gun but was built on a different Sherman chassis.
Second, you seemingly start off advocating turning the game into a combat sim. Then you make the statement that the 90mm from the Pershing should kill the Maus if it hits it in the right spot. In reality, the Maus would take a hit from a 90mm and keep coming. Except firing down on it from a cliff, the Pershing's 90mm would not pen the Maus anywhere. Even firing down on it, I doubt the 90mm would pen due to the angle of impact. I wholly support turning the game into a combat sim. If they give every tank it's actual characteristics, no one can complain about something being OP.
Lastly, I agree that there's something funny about the guns, especially the German ones. These supposedly extremely accurate guns occasionally turn very innaccurate in battle without being damaged.

No, they'd find NEW ways of complaining that something is OP because some tanks were simply better than others
That and half the US TDs would have to be removed along with most new tier 10s and some of the upcoming German TDs because they're not real. Honestly I'm ok with that excepting the removal of the GW Panther (it and the GW Type E are fake as well).

He said Jumbo, that's the E2 and the Firefly was any Sherman equipped with a 17 ponder AKA 76 mm Gun M1A1
Though i do see were this is going, maybe a hardcore game mode could be released were damage is greatly increased, health bars and red/green silhouette are hidden.

The final upgraded gun on the standard sherman is considered the 'firefly' upgrade. Just an FYI.
And to the OP. Guess what, ARCADE style shooter, not a real life simulator. Sorry, if you want a simulator, this game is NOT FOR YOU. MOVE ALONG.

The rest were developed and constructed at least with prototypes(Except the "M" labeled tanks, which actually went into production)

Endles, he did mention Fireflys killing Tigers in his post. Additionally, the Easy 8 and Sherman Firefly are two different (actually 4) tanks regardless of the same caliber guns. Three versions of the Firefly were built, Ic built on the M4A2 chassis, Ic Hybrid built on the M4A2 Hybrid chassis, and the Vc built on the M4A4 chassis. The Easy 8 is a variation of the M4A3 chassis.
Legion, T25AT: fake, ingame T28: fake, both tier 10 US TDs: fake, T25/2: fake, T28 Prototype: fake. That's 6 of the US TDs that are known to be fake, I haven't researched into the lower tiers (4 and lower) but I doubt many if any are fake, I know the M8 to be real.

I already said that, what's your point?
I was pointing out some you forgot and making a correction to your comment on the T28 Prototype. I just went back and reread your post and saw the "s" on T25s. I overlooked it before and assumed you were only talking about the T25AT.
