Im really pissed because I keep doing the same damn maps over and over again. Today Redshire and El Halluf would not leave me alone. It happens all the time. Since there are 33 maps (a lot) I'm proposing that at least 18 maps have been cycled thorugh before repeating the same map. This would add a lot more variety to the game, make it less boring and also boost morale because I woudn't want to play on the map I just lost on.

Are you willing to wait longer in the MM? Because if you want that sort of map exclusion built in for all players, that's what's going to happen. The likelihood of 30 players all having not played a certain map within the last 18 engagements, at the same time, is just too much to hope for.

No. I don't want to see teams of 15 TDs at El Halluf waiting for the other team to try charging across the valley.

there has to be a balance somewhere in the middle between the players choosing, and a cyclical map system like proposed by the poster.  I hate to bring up other games, but the Modern Warfare series had a pretty cool thing where you could vote for the map while waiting in queue AND once a map was played twice, it couldn't be voted on anymore.  All it takes is a little creativity, because Masterstealth is correct, when you get into those cycles it can be very annoying....esp when campinovka is one of them

Seem to be getting a decent mix lately.  Thought definitely see the new maps a touch less then others, but I am guessing might also be do to some of the older maps having multiple versions Standard, Assault, and Encounter.

Have noticed dont see Komarin anymore, dont remember if that was pulled or not.  Also only get Province on low tier battles which its perfect for.

There is a map rotation?  I see like 5 or 6 maps over and over and I might see the "newer" maps once every 30 battles.

They would need to keep a cache of information about the map everyone played over the last 2 or 3 battles to make sure you don't get that same map... and then try to put you in a new map with whoever comes into the qeue that can also play that map (hoping he has a tank you can get into battle with)...

It's not a simple issue, doubt something will be done about it. They will probably just add more maps hoping it will shuffle the maps for everybody enough.

Something definitely needs to be done about the map rotation. I understand that adding encounter/assault modes to existing maps increases the chances of getting that map but this has gotten beyond ridiculous. In the past three days, I can count on one hand the number of times I wasn't at Steppes, Prokhorvoka, Murovanka, Fisherman's Bay, Malinovka, Sand River, Fjords, or Siegfried Line.   We also have Highway, Arctic Region, Port, Westfield, 2 Himmelsdorf maps, Ensk, Ruinberg, Airfield, South Coast, Serene Coast, And Redshire, let's get them back in the rotation.

Yes Madox, Komarin was removed

Like cameron said, Komarin was removed (they didn't say if it was going to come back any time soon) and they made Province available only to tier 3 and lower.

Why would anyone think 30 maps is plenty? It is only plenty according to a crappy standard set by crappy games, and gamers with low expectations! BF3 wants to charge you for new maps so you know that they will never give you enough for free.  I hope WoT is better than this.

Map makers with the right tools today can crank out hundreds of good maps. Proccedural map generation (an automated process) can now create good maps that need only minor adjustment by humans.
