if it did it still wouldn't be compatible with the game and the controls

Here's what you do.  Take your XBOX controller and plug it back ito your XBOX and play WOT on a KB/Mouse.  Problem solved.

I don't think there's native support for it. You might be able to find some way to set it up - but you'd need a program to re-map the mouse functions to the gamepad's thumb stick.

Hmm... That would have been awesome to play with a controller though, probably even better in world of warplanes because i dont have a joystick and feel left out haha thx though

I was just curious to see if anyone else has done it. No need to be such a jerk.

it would probably be a total bitch to remap all of the directions. Not to metion that you'd need to get the directions down perfectly (i.e. exactly 180 degree down for down, and such.) I wouldn't want to do that anyways. Not to mention theres about 30 different keys (?)

Just wait for World of Warplanes and you can use your controller.

i forget the program you can download, but it is possible to use a 360 controller. the program lets you assign the W,A,S,D keys and such to each button on the controller.  i use an afterglow controller on some of the emulators i play at times, so it does work. same goes for PS3 controllers also as long as it is a wired USB style controller.

good luck.

Xpadder. Your solution is Xpadder.

It's a program that lets you map keyboard and mouse to your controller buttons, sticks, and D-pad. I use it on the occasion for games that lack controller support where I would prefer to use a controller (usually fighting games - anything involving shooting, strategy or an RPG and I would use a mouse).

That said, a controller would be rather useless for WoT, since tanks tend to control poorly with the joystick. I would just get used to the keyboard and mouse.

As someone who plays both XBOX and PC, I can't see why you'd want to do this.  The XBOX controller is muuuuch less precise than a KBM setup.  You'd be at a distinct disadvantage, I can't even imagine the frustration.

I tried to stop understanding why a long time ago. People have reasons that suit them best. Personally I'd play with my controller some if it was supported. The simple reason is comfort. I'm sure I'm not the only one who gets carpel tunnel after some marathon sessions.

Most "xboxer's" don't really understand how much "autoaim" the developers of a games like HALO put into the game to make it "usable".  So they think their controllers are more accurate then they really are...

I cut my teeth on consoles, so I understand the struggle to go from a console controller to KBM control.  For a looooong time, I used one of these because trying to manage a whole keyboard was unwieldy.  It served me well through Battlefield 1942 and Battlefield 2 before it finally died.
