T1HT is a force to be reckoned with. It's fast with a quick firing gun. It can easily circle a KV and make short work of it.
Circle is not all that easy.  It has a low speed limit.  And KV-1 can simply back up against a wall.

KV-1 still beats it easily with superior 85mm gun.

T1HT can only flank KV-1; facing it head on or attempting to circle is suicide(since T1Ht has poor side armour, in a team fight KV-1 can still angle against T1HT to bounce shots while T1Ht just takes it in rear from KV-1's team).

The thing i fear the most in a Kv is having bad teams, being surrounded by mediums and arti, out of that I dont fear anything else, as long as i have snipers covering my ass and a well trained arti and knowledge of every weak spot in every tank u encounter,Kv-1 can dominate the battlefield

You see, when KV's derp gun hits ELC.

It pens and ELC dies in one shot.

Stugs and well-driven churchills are my only fear. I will destroy anything else with absurd 57mm DPM and my shell-eating armor/tracks.

Other KV-1s.
PZ 4 with their elephant guns.
Stugs.
Grilles with 15cm guns while I'm sitting still.
Being surrounded by M4s.

That about sums it up really. And I don't so much fear the PZs and Stugs so much as exercise caution when I think they're around. Other KV-1s? Get belly to belly and see who can get more penetrating hits off. Always an enjoyable time, especially when you can fire almost twice as fast as the other guy and still put out 75% of his damage/shot. And then rotate the turret and shoot that annoying M5 that's been trying to shoot you in the fuel tanks.

Pray to your diety for divine intervention?  In T5 the thing is OP as shit.  ANYTHING but LOTS of artillery, and I mean LOTS of arty...or another KV1 who has a brain and knows where to shoot.  Anything less then that and you cannot kill it before it face rapes you.  This game has turned into "Team with the most, and best played Russians wins"....THAT is T5 and 6.....its not about skills in T5 and T6, its about being skilled with KV series....they are OP as hell.  THe KV3, idk, it sucks, but the KV4, THAT is a GOD in its tier as well...niothing in T8 can reliably pen it frontally, it also has a great gun and great armor..sure it miht move slow, but everythingelse overcomes that weakness...KVs are OP now...straight up!

Oh, alternatively, wait till the KV is far from its base and back cap it...seemed to work on my KV ALOT...but dont fight it...it will RAPE you..
I remember owning KVs (before the KV-1/KV-2 split) with my Pz. III/IV with extreme ease.

1. at around 300m away, the KV shoots at you with the 107, they might hit, but if they do it won't kill you (if it's the derp it just won't hit you)

2. you start circling them while they turn their turret @ 10-20 degrees per second

3. shoot them in the rear of the turret for the lolz

Theres nothing i fear 1 vs 1 tier 5 in my KV1, but i do fear a crappy team that leaves me in a ditch, outpaces me and dies by the dozen. The KV-1 with the 85mm is a monster and quite frankly, i dont fear pz4's or stug's because i have my crew with vision perks and i use binocs, lol, so even if you immobilize me, i can probably kill you before you kill me. I've also gotten reasonably good at blind firing, lol, so thats always a plus. Nonetheless, if theres a good way to take a KV-1 with equal or higher tiers, its in a mob, with arty support and at long range. At short range, the KV-1 can just face hug you and while you bounce off the 110mm's of turret armor, it rips you apart, if WG would only make up armoring hulls possible, then the KV-1 would be amazing, since historically, the kv1e had 110mm's of hull armor too :Smile_Default: .
I've managed to beat several enemies at a time with my KV-1 at one time, i was on a horrible team in a tier 4-6 match, and while the rest of my team died and got like 2 kills in total, i sat in a shell crater on ruinberg, in the middle of a street and ripped apart 5 tanks, including a dumb KV-1s that blundered into my sights and didn't get out of the way, yeah, i eventually died, but that was when i go swamped by virtually all the enemy tanks, and as mentioned thats the worst thing for a KV-1 so i died, and we lost. I've also managed to take on multiple heavies at one time, since the only gun with reliable penetration against a KV-1 on a heavy is the KV-1's 85mm, the BDR's 90mm, and T1's 76mm. Of these tanks, only the KV-1 is actually resistant to return fire, and does decent DPM. Some weak spots are the vision ports, MG ports and the tracks, so at least thats some advice against a KV-1

The KV-1 fear nothing at tire 5, but of cause, all orther non-premium tank. The KV-1 have superior armor and its gun is all good (except the zis 5, it sux) tire 3 and most tire 4 tank (td and spg not include) have no chance to penetrate it armor. your best option is to swam it with teamate so some of you can flank it. But still don't go head to head with one unless you driving a KV-1 your self.

While the KV-1 is not as OP as some here seem to say it is a powerful tank. I have to say I am much more confident in it now that I mounted the 85mm instead of that 122mm Roman Candle. That gun was too inaccurate to make your tank very powerful unless you can get up close to enemies. This tank attracts attention though so it becomes a bullet catcher often and gets tracked pretty easily. Module damage can be an issue as well.

I fear TD's since the view range on the KV-1 is crap. I've killed them in my Marder. T1's only worry me if on the rare occasion they have me flanked before I can turn around.

KV-1 is actually not OP; is just that many things below its tier will bounce and idiots driving it like idiot usually get away with being idiots more oftenly than other idiots in tanks with worse armour.

The KV-1 still is when used properly.  I only use the derp 122mm.  It can one shot most anything below T5 and got me 3 kills in a T7 match the other day.   The things that take me down are arty and long range PzIV or Stugg but I can get my share of the other team dead no matter what in it.  If you want to kill it from the front shoot the machine gun on the upper plate.  You can pen it with most anything.

T1HT that is close and smart enough to aim mg port can trade health with KV1 at no deficit.  The main advantage of KV is that it has side armor and can angle outside of hard cover, however T1HT can hull down much easier, and is much, much faster.

KV1 is so strong in tier 5 because it is the n00b friendly heavy.  BDR require a completely alpha focused play style, while T1HT's does not help much in head to head fights without some planning.

T1Ht is faster but it actually does not have much better depression(10 vs. 7, as opposed to most other tiers ht and mt of 10 vs. 5) than KV-1.

Not to mention T1HT's turret is made of paper in comparison to KV-1.

Well, if you are shooting T1HT's turret while it is shooting your hull, you are not really gonna win that one.  Granted that requires better positions, but better speed can allow that.

I say the following things really messes me up good in a KV1

Camo-ed TD that knows what they are doing
Hull down Pz4, especially at long range
T1HT with hard cover protecting hull/angled sides
Track and circle in fast meds
T49 that abuses 1.7s aim time to peek me to death at range, especially in multitarget situations

Most of them takes more skill and effort then hitting RR, see enemy, shoot them, repeat strategy that KV-1 can sometimes employ with success.
