ISU is obviously the best.

T28 is obviously the worst. 18 km/h top speed, only low IQ players drive vehicles like that. Even German tankers are better.

hmm... I really like the Ferdi, though the T28 Proto can be deadly in urban maps.

The Jagdtiger 88 can be the best tier 8 TD by far, when you're extremely lucky and the planets line up in just the right way.

Ferd is still the word, currently. I haven't spent much time in the JPII but it seems to be a strong contender.

Best, Fernidad IMO. Worst, JT88. I haven't played some of the others, though.

I said the JgPantherII. Haven't driven it yet though i want to same firepower as the ferdi but better mobility.  Yeah buddy.

I said other because i HATED the ferdinand.  Granted i moved to the T28 P cause i want the T110E4 eventually. Granted the T28 and 28P are slower than molasses on a winter day, but on the other hand, least the 28P has that turret which makes it better to me than that frakkin Ferdi.

Edit: JT88, love it!  If supported or back as a second tier tank with that long88 sniping, that thing is a nail driver with insane RoF.  Problem is, when it is forced into assault or left with no support while trying to snipe, it dies and dies quickly.

ISU is probably the best, unless the 1948 is ok, don't know much about it.

T28 proto seems to suck but the standard T28 was no gem either. As for the best I'd say ISU or Ferd, both can be very nasty.

ISU is clumsier and has less armor... 2-3 shotted by ferdi. That's why i LOVVED my ferdi with 200mm armor :arta:  and some decent mobility.

From playing the Ferdi, a good driver can easily beat an ISU.

And from playing the Jagdpanther 2 on the test server, its far from outclassing the Ferdi.

Very hard for me to pick between the Ferdinand and the ISU-152.   Nearly 300 games in the ISU, nearly 600 in the Ferdi, so each of them get a lot of play time from me.

In the end, I give a very slight edge to the Ferdi, for the following reasons:

Higher RoF.  Makes it more flexible, imo.  I can take a risky shot without committing myself to 15 seconds of vulnerability.  I can take that 20hp kill shot without knowing I will be defenseless for a quarter minute.  I can shoot out a foe's cover without... ahh, you get the point.

Toughness.  I can push a front with the Ferdi.  I can angle and bounce shots from equal tier opponents.  The ISU is far less able to push, since its flimsy armor only rarely bounces shots.  I have been able to absorb shells with the mantlet, but that's a gamble I prefer not to take.

Accuracy.  The ISU infuriates me at times with its drunken gunner syndrome.   At least once per night, I can be heard irately demanding that my gunner give me one straight shot... JUST ONE YOU... err, sorry.  The BL-10's slow reload time makes those shots that drift away from a target, or fall low and away for a 0 damage track shot especially painful.

voted ISU because dat alpha

voted JT88 because it's the only premium and those are necessarily worse

I get a lot of "OMG OP" rants in my 1948. Much more so than my BL10.

I would hazard a guess to say that it's probably because it's still relatively rare, and people don't know what to do when they run into one

I may have to free xp out of my ARL and give the '48 a try.  It looks good on paper.
