Iv tried a few before with good results, however i found out they violated some stuff and took them off...now im back down to 2 FPS on the MIN settings and cant play the game....I need at least 5 to be effective.
If you know of any LEGAL mods that increase FPS please tell me and maybe a hint as to were to find it if possible.

there's one that removes bushes... and I think there was some guy whose name started with an M who made a mod that was useful for slow computers

Milbarge's Slow PC packs on Curse: http://www.curse.com...ds/worldoftanks

Since these mods only change your interface and not the server..they are not illegal.

It certainly wouldn't hurt to check out Gamebooster.  While it's not a mod, it claims to help increase FPS.

I didn't think its was possible to have a mod to speed up FPS brake the rules. the bush mod for example, it's not like they make your tanks view rang longer. it's basically like the hit box skin mod its not violating the rules, because it wont change anything in the game other than how it looks.

anyway I don't know of any mods that will help you, but in 8.0 I'm almost sure you'll run (at least) 5 fps without the mods. But good luck finding the mod that will help you the most.

As long as you are only modding client side, you cant do what ever you want.

Now doing it server side is called a "hack"

Change map terrain resolution setting to 2 in the preferences file. Gives a big boost to fps but sometimes aiming shots over hills will be more challenging. If starting with very low fps it is worth it.

You can try my mod that removes leaves from trees, and my other mod that stops trees from swaying. Found here.

I really do apreciat all the help, although the ones that remove tree leaves and bushes, are considered illegal, and the slow PC pack..does nothing.

But really i apreciate it veyr much.

It is not illegal. You have my assurance as an official Community Contributor and Monitor of the World of Tanks Mods & Addons subforum.

ANY mod that alters the geography or topography of a map should be illegal.  If you can run a mod that removes bushes and trees, what good is camouflage???  It also gives unfair advantage to anyone who is running that mod.  And if we all upload the mod, why play the game?  As far as I'm concerned, any mod that alters the original content of the game I would consider a "hack".

And in case anyone is wondering, I have over 12,000 battles played and often wondered why I sat in the bushes with full camo, crew at 100% camo and still got nailed by three different tanks.

This mod only removes leaves on the trees in your game client. The WoT server still operates like the leaves are there. All camo value and protection is done server-side. The fact that your client is missing the leaves does not alter camo protection.

So, if I remove leaves in my computer, it will not effect the camo value when you are are sitting in a bush...even if I cannot see the bush on my computer. It  is the server that determines your camo value, and sends that info to my computer. May I respectfully suggest that you read up on the camo and spotting mechanics of the game?

Dude, stop it. You just embarassing yourself. For 12k battles player, you sure dont give a damn about how the game mechanic works..
Everything happened in WoT is calculated on server-side. Every mod in WoT only effects the GAME'S VISUAL in your COMPUTER ONLY.
Lets say, if you install invisible bush mod doesn't mean the bush is gone, the bush is still there with its camo value because the 'main data' is on WG's server not on our computer, what we have in our computer is just the visual elements and sound files of the game. So, no this mod isn't illegal and definitely not a 'hack'.

As for NightmareMoonTank, you know every game has its own minimun requirements to be playable right?

Quote

Official System Requirements from World of Tanks FAQ page.

Minimum system requirements:
CPU: 2 GHz
RAM: 1 GB
Video: GeForce 6600GT (128 MB) / ATI analog
HDD: 2GB
Connection rate: 128 Kbps

From your story, even the milbrage slow PC mod didn't help anything, it seems like your computer is far below the minimum requirements. I don't think you need further explanation.

Well, considering the spotting mechanic works whether you see the bush or not, what difference does it make?  There is a mod that removes camo from tanks too.

First i would recommend a slow pc pack. Then i would recommend you download and install WoT Tweaker.
http://mirtankov.net...ot-tweaker.html

It will help turns some things that cause fps drop like smoke from tanks, explosions, and things like that. There are some guide in the WoT Forums on how to install it. If those don't help http://google.com is always a good choice ;) The onyl difference is now you can install it to the res_mods folders.

Download low res. tanks skins as well.  These just a couple things you can do. Not to mention when in game avoid looking up a ton. Drive with your camera toward the ground. It works and you end up having to rely on the minmap. But it works

Here is a link to the bush mod, it doesn't include EVERYTHING but it is does help somewhat.
