Good lord, this patch really messed up something bad.

Tiger was sitting 150m from me, on a bridge, I fired hit him, he moved forward behind a 'twig' of a tree, and he disappeared.

Just now in a match a Lor.40t was literally 200m from me, firing. I was in my Foch50F155 with coated optics, 130% crew, and could NOT see him.

Earlier I was in my Lowe, a BatChat was sitting in the open, on the hillside on a sand map, and 'disappeared' right in front of me on that hillside.

Something is seriously wrong here. Others are noticing this.. Something is broken, making the game totally ridiculous to play now.

I think we have a thread going about this already, man.

I hope WG has taken note of this problem. I have never had trouble spotting an enemy that was lit, but there was this invisible T-50 150m away.

Here is an offending replay from last night.

Open terrain, Batchat25 sitting on side of hill - wide open, I am on the other hill - full view. Disappears right in front of me. It's about 5:48 into the match;

and pictures;

Tank is spotted, side of hill as he is moving;

I turn around to fire;

He disappears, right in front of me, on open terrain;

Sorry but this is garbage, making the game virtually unplayable right now.. It was bad before, it's OUTRAGEOUS right now...

Really?

There's an obvious reason why the BatChat disappeared.

The BatChat was 384 metres away from you, with the only spotter being the T28 Prototype. Your own view range starts at 400m, which is substantially decreased since BatChats are innately more stealthy due to low height+crew skills.
Once the T28P gets out of range, of course you cannot see him.

And of course, after every patch, there will be people claiming some random problem...usually attributable to themselves.

I am having a different problem but could be related to the spotting mechanics in 8.0 and 7.5.
In Mountain pass , Westfield, cliff, Elhauff ect. when shooting long ranges your aiming at where the enemy tank is and shoot several shots just to find out they arn't anywhere near where your shooting.
I have found when aiming at a long range target if you move the target cross hairs all around the area it will flash green when on the target no-mater where the marker says .
This may be a graphics problem with my aging system since i keep getting blue screen of death pointing to hardware (motherboard and cpu).
just wondering if anyone else has seen the same issue ?

You must be trolling here, You have a 50B and you don't even know basic view range mechanics?

The batchat doesn't get spotted by you because of its base camo + the fact that he is just barely in your view.

From the replay, the T28 Proto was the one spotting for you, when the proto could no longer maintain view on the b.chat he of course disappeared.

If you are not trolling, I don't know what you are doing.

Did you ever think that the batchat had really good camo ratings from his crew and would have become invisible due to your view range not picking him up due to that? No, rather, it just seems like you're whining about how you don't understand vision mechanics and how camouflage reduces view range for other tanks. Read what Sadukar posted and maybe it'll make sense. This post is another rehashed piece of trash by people who don't take the time to stop and think about how vision mechanics really work with all of the variables taken into account.

I'm still calling BS on this, it's totally fantasy land crap mechanics.. Sorry but a tank doesn't disappear right in front of you on an open, sandy hillside..  I have even worse examples of this crappy mechanic I will post once I find the replays. I have coated optics, he was WELL within my view range, on open terrain, there is no logical reason he should disappear.

This is the type of fantasy crap that makes this game unplayable.

If you think he was hard to see, try playing against MY battie.

Simple game mechanics working as intended here. He was out of your view range, especially if he had ANY type of camo.

I find getting tracked every other hit since 8.0 to be much more of an epidemic than invisible tanks, but maybe it's just me.

It's not, I was tracked 9 times just now in my Foch50F155, which was actually RARELY tracked in 7.5 due to the fact it has spaced skirt armor on the sides for the tracks.. Now it's like I cannot even more.

How many more frustrations do they have to add?

FYI, the camo mods on teh BatChat are very close to those of many Lights or TDs. While firing their gun makes them as obvious as a Kv-1 running across the field, when they law off the trigger, you can basically reduce your effective spotting range to 260-330m depending on their level of Camouflage skill.

This happens all the time. the best is, it happens now when they are moving too. or you spot them..i mean YOU spot them, you see them you aim you get the of course non damage note and in the same way they disappear... and many other things... yes and i know all what they want to say as an explanation with bushes sandflees in front of you ..everything rubbish...they move.. they move up to you, nothing to hide..and they disappear...

and with 8.0 it became worse

I think a quick read of the spotting mechanics might help you out here mate.

I'm noticing that long distance shots are significantly less accurate, but not tracking or camo.
