ALmost all of my games are losing, and I'm usually on the lower end of the tier range in the matches as well. This game broken or something?

Yes, because 49% victory rate = "I lose most of my matches" ...

You're only just starting, with less than 300 battles at the time you wrote this post. And already your stats are quite decent. No, MM isn't out to get you, and just because you're bottom tier doesn't mean you're useless: you're only useless if you play uselessly.

When you're top tank the name of the game is to lead your team to victory, supported by the lower tier tanks who keep you from getting flanked, light up targets for you, etc.
When you're bottom tier the name of the game is to support your team's big tanks to victory, by keeping them from getting flanked, lighting up targets for them, etc.

I really think the win rate is proportional to the hit ratio, try to aim for longer and it will be better...
I know that since I am 45 %...now is not high though better(still a noob)

It's not that your put into a losing game, It's just the luck of the players you get on your team. We all have those days where we can't catch a break... only a few days ago... I had a day with 30-40 games... and I probably only won 8-10.  :Smile_veryhappy:

Nerubian, your win% is 49%.  The average win% is 48%.  You are ahead of the average.  So... you can't be "always" put in losing games.

This game is by definition very unbalanced.  It is how MatchMaker works.  Sometimes you get a great team, others you get a terrible team.  And yes, you can influence the results of games so that your win% goes up over time.

I love the battles where you have 5 or so tier 8s, token tier 7, and then the rest are Tiers 6s and arty.  Then you watch helplessly as all of your tier 8s get blown up and you find yourself facing off against an IS-3, KV-5, and a Tiger 2 in your KV-1s.

The lower you are on the tier spread the less effective you are in a sense. When I'm using my IS-3 in a tier eight game, I can easily drag my team to a win. That can't be said for a tier ten game though. Everything that normally works like clockwork becomes less effective. The MM isn't out for vengeance because you won some games, it may seem that way after countless losses, but it's definitely not the case. Just try harder, use better tactics, and you'll manage to pull off a win, quite a lot of them actually.

Sometimes you just go though bouts of wins and bouts of losses. Two days a go I couldn't win a game for the life of me not matter how well i did personally, but yesterday I went on a huge winning streak. Just the normal ups and downs. You'll climb out of it.

It really feels that way with the tier 2~5 tanks, especially as you're 'grinding' them; short grind of course, but the games can be painful as the crew and equipment is bad and you move on before you get to spend any time with quality either.  You're doing like I did and a lot of us did, going down as many paths as you can; that's not going to help the feeling.

It's gonna feel worse when you get the Lee (but you'll feel amazing once you have the M4).  Few enjoy it from the start or middle, tons loathe it entirely.  It took me a loooong time to come to like it, but it really is a great tank in its own right; once it's fully geared out of course.  Until then it's a pig the size of a moving truck.  Just be grateful the matchmaker has changed, trust me when I say you would not have enjoyed being in a stock Lee in some of those matches.. I have 350 matches and 58% win in my Hetzer and 260 in my Lee, and my Lee has 6 top guns to the Hetzer's 5.  It can bully its tier and it can punish anyone that gives you a side shot, rapidly.

The III/IV is fun but tough to use efficiently until you're better at the game; fortunately it's a great tank to get better at the game with (you will be punished for trading with anyone your tier or higher, you will be rewarded generously for quality flanking, relocation and concealment).

The B1 is a pig, and the BDR is kind of rough until it's loaded out, I'd recommend you focus on that to learn heavies once you get it and elite it.  Learning to use its big gun will help immensely with many other tanks, especially in tier 6-7 matches where you're basically a TD (flank shots from 200 meters through a forest of green are your best friend there).

The constant is you. It's not easy to overcome being surrounded by teammates who lack situational awareness, tactics, or just don't care, but it's possible to overcome those odds. I'm not much better than you, but we are both above-average, so we must be doing something right. I had a bad night the other night, but when I looked at my stats, I noticed that I actually did better than my overall personal average, so it's all relative, and a matter of perception.

I wish we could see a running tally of our wins and losses over time and see how many losing streaks we have compared to winning streaks. I bet it's a lot closer than we like to think. We tend forget the good runs and obsess over the bad runs.

Hi, I have felt your frustration as well.  For me this game is a balancing act between "having fun", and "getting great stats".   Some days I log in and lose 3 games in a row, and then just log off.  I figure either I am having an off day or the "gods" of chance are "out to lunch at the moment".  I can do this because I do not pay for a premium account, and am in no hurry to get to a certain tank.

When I first took note of my stats, I had a 39% win rate.  (embarassing, but I was having fun)   I have worked hard at getting my stats to the 49% win rate you have with far fewer games.

What you may not have experienced yet is how much better a maxed out tank with a 100% crew will perform.   You have a lot of tanks for only 300 games, so it may be that few of them are maxed out, and unless you are a wallet warrior, your crews must still be 50%ers.

I worked my win% up by focusing on three tanks that I liked.  I then spent the gold to take those three crews to 100% training.

This way I learned each tank well, and used them well enough to help my team win,  and I now mostly always have fun because I make a differerence.

Another tip with all the tanks you have.  Bino's, Repair Kit, and Camo Net are all removable and can be switched between tanks without penalty.  Buy one set and use them on all your tanks.

Happy hunting   Diamondi

I have found that i can increase my win ratio simply by telling the other team members what i intend to do during the battle. In a lot of Pug battles it is better to have A tactic that a number of players will go with rather then having 15 players following 15 different tactics.  No simply stating what you are going to do will not cause the whole group to act in accordance with what you are doing  but it can sway some people to join you or focus on supporting your action.

So if you are Arty the simple message at the start would be to tell the other players where you are setting your Arty up.

If your a Scout it may be to tell people what side of the map they will be scouting and where they intent to end up at.

If your a Heavy/ Medium it might be that you are going to travel to a certain spot and invite others to make a wolf pack with you.

Simple communication can make a difference especially when you opponents are not talking to each other at the start of the battle.

Just think, someone on the other team is saying: "Man, I keep getting put on the winning teams".

Some nights it seems that I can't win anything.  Maybe a sacrifice to the RNG gods is in order.
