I have been playing for about 60 days and am accumulating XP and points and buying some also.   I am wondering what is the best or fastest route to get to a Level X tank.  I have a M4 American which I think is my highest but I am not clear if I should stay in this line or start of move to another or if I can buy as a "New Tank" a high level from another line or if I have to start at the bottom and work up.

Any advice or comments appreciated.

Buy gold and convert xp from other tanks.

Premium.

Oh, and good stats also help...

Buy a premium tank and only gold ammo, play that constantly then convert all the xp and just go up the tree like a stat padding moron.

Of course teir 10's aren't good for stat padders XD

I haven't been playing much more than you, (actually less)  I'm already at the IS-8 (need to buy) which is teir 9, but I've also gone down routes so I have the amx 12t, stug III, t-50, vk 3601, m37, grille, and several others because I get bored and bounce back and forth.

It's not hard, just play the game, go after what interests you and do whatever.

Also dude, slow down a bit, don't play this game like a job, enjoy it, that many battles in 60 days, hopefully you are retired or something.

first: select your tier X tank
second: select 2-3 tanks from tier 5-7 you like to play and dont sell then (or buy a tier 8 premium)
third: start the grind, play with the line you want then play the tier 5-7 or the premium.

good luck

This game isn't about progression. Getting a Tier X tank isn't the ultimate goal. Find tanks you like in the tech trees and play them. All tanks are shitty without a trained crew and equipment so the real goal in this game is to have fun while improving the tanks you like playing.

You'll probably spend more time on Tier 5-7 tanks unless you have a Tier 8 premium because you will lose money in bad games on the higher Tier tanks.

Also, get premium.

Right now I have: T5 ELC AMX, T6 AMX 12t, T5 T-34, T5 SU-85, and T8 T34 premium tank. I play them all.

For the love of god, don't get a tier 10.You have no idea wtf you're doing in this game yet and you'll just hurt your team.

I have to agree, with his level tanks at that many battles, he doesn't seem to be doing great so far.

Try becoming skilled, then you can average about 1,000 xp a game and grinding is a thing of the past. Plus, since you'll be making tons of gold from CW and tournaments, you can even skip the tanks you don't want to play.

The game is not a race to a tier 10 tank. The game is what happens while you play.

play each tank in the line.  it might not be fastest but it will make you a better tanker.  just play the line and work your way up.  you can skip modules if you want that arent gonna be used on future tanks but then you will not get the most out of each vehicle.  this game is kind of punishing to those that try to do it the fast way.  get a tier ten by converting exp and  you are gonna wind up with a 30 percent win percentage in your tier ten costing you 40k credits a game.  slow and steady wins the race and makes you a better tanker.

You don't need a short cut to tier X. You truely need to learn the ones you have.

I find it easier to do "well" in games at T8+ on my T34. My stats are nothing outstanding but I can frequently do 3-4k damage in a game. I still don't have the game sense and understanding to really impact the outcome though.

Lower Tier seems way harder because of the statistical limitations of your vehicles in combination with terrible matchmaking which doesn't start to get "decent" until around Tier 5.

pemium helps and only grinding 1 line will help. Since i got my first T10 around 3000, but with a bit of premium and i must say the IS-4 switching to tier 10 aswell. But im almost at IS-7 so, try to keep on grinding 1 line, it is very oring, so keep 1 side line to cool of with and if possible, use premium

Also, mediums are very hard to learn from. It might be beneficial to go down the heavy route first as heavies are easier to play. As noted, it's not a race to tier X. The top tanks are not somehow magical death machines that destroy all in their path in every battle.

The real difference between tanks of tier X and tier VIII is much smaller than that between tier I and tier III.

Like some said, get used to the tanks you have, especially the meds if you want to eventually get a Tier 10 med. Knowledge is power, i'm taking my time with my Patton and E-50 and doing ok with the Patton and going up hill with the E-50. No rush to get to Tier 10 :)

For the love of god don't go french line for your first Tier X. I did, and I can tell you that T1-4 sucks and T6-7 also sucks due to scout matchmaking.
