I think most people couldn't give a s**t about that golden joy stick thingy or any other news updates you see on the wot launcher, i get bored even just looking at the highlights.
Why wargaming even bother is beyond me, you just wanna shake em and shout in their faces.

It's not on the NA portal because the release date is not set in stone until the release for EU is complete. That's the way it works with every update.
Its a online game, why cant all server be equal and be updated at the same time? every other mmo (the ones i play anyway) update together or at leaste the same day given diffrent time zones
but still cant wait for brits

There's no 'official word' on it being postponed, because it's not postponed. We haven't stated a date yet, but the EU portal should give you an idea of when to expect it for NA.

Unfortunately we don't have unlimited staff to throw at updating the clusters, testing for stability, etc. So we have to stagger the releases; it's a resource issue more than anything else.

No it's not, most updates there is an update on the main page that stats:
RU update on xx/xx/2012
EU update on xx/xx/2012 (usually a day or two later)
NA update on xx/xx/2012 (usually a day or two after EU).
Nice try though. I especially like how now you expect us to watch the RU portal to see what is going on there, to then "guess" when EU will be updated, only to watch the EU portal to "guess" what will happen on the NA server.
It'd honestly be ok to say "Sorry, somebody dropped the ball. We'll have an update posted later today". You know, so that those that don't read the forum aren't "expected" to guess what is going on base on what is going on on other servers.

Any consideration to rotating what regions get updated first?
This time RUS, EU, NA
Next time EU, NA, RUS
After that, NA, RUS, EA
Etc. etc. etc?

Here you go again trying to blow smoke up our...
You expect us to believe you are flying staff all over the planet for an update? Really?
I would believe that you are doing the semi-smart thing of updating 1 cluster at a time to test for stability. That's smart, what isn't smart is that you update the highest loaded clusters and work your way down to the lowest. The smart way would be to start with the lightest, and work your way up to the highest, thereby minimizing the chance of adversing the most people if there are issues.

We have a deployment team that is responsible for deploying patches, and those people are responsible for doing it for every region the game is played in. As of right now, that is:
- RU
- EU
- NA
- SEA
- CN (China)
- VN (Vietnam)
Fortunately the internet prevents them from having to fly around to each cluster location, otherwise they would have more frequent flyer miles than most public officials during an election time. But it's still one team of people.

Obvious solution: Acquire unlimited staff!
Just ask Foxconn, I think they have one of those.

Thanks for the info, GD. Are you able to give a yes/no as to whether NA update is planned to roll out before the Golden Joystick bonus ends?

I'm responsible for making sure my team publishes that content, so I have a fairly firm grasp of the schedule we follow. We do not announce an update's release until the day before except for very special circumstances. There have been very few updates that we've been comfortable enough to announce the release date of in advance.

Yes, it should release well before the end of the Golden Joystick celebration.
I care about the event far more than I care about 8.1. I know different people have different opinions, but I'm sure many feel like me. For example, what good will it be the 3 days of free premium... if the server is down half a day for an emergency patch due to an 8.1 problem. Even if we get that half day back later... it wouldn't be over the days we planned for.
