PeXu's Photo PeXu Nov 01 2012

What skill recommended for the M18 Hellcat?

Right now I have these skills, but Im doubting the skills for the commander, gunner and loader:

- Commander: ?
- Gunner: ?
- Driver: Clutch braking. Hellcat have bad turn rate.
- Radio: Situacional awareness.
- Loader: ?

PD. sorry for my bad english.

I don't think the Hellcat needs snap-shot, as the turret traverse is so incredibly slow that any aim bloom from the turret rotation is almost non-existent. If you're sitting still, the circle settles pretty much instantly as it is, and if you're moving, most of the aim bloom comes from your hull rotation.

Plus if they're THAT close, then something's very wrong with the situation you put yourself in.

Or you have awesome camo skills for your crew.

As much as you might want to avoid close encounters in your Hellcat, sometimes you don't have a choice. I have won knife fights with light and medium tanks because I have clutch braking, smooth ride and snap shot skills on my crew. It's not that I recommend using a Hellcat to brawl or for firing on the move, but if you find yourself in a situation where you have to do it, at least you're not totally outmatched.

Since I'm not as experienced as the other players here, I'd first suggest taking my advice with a grain of salt.

I'm currently on my 2nd crew skill, but my first skills were as follows:

Commander: 6th sense (This has saved my hide from return fire so many times)
Gunner: Camouflage
Loader: Camouflage
Driver: Clutch Braking (M18 turns like a darned KV-1)
Radioman: Camoflage

Since the hellcat already has some good camo, I opted to only have three crewmen run it.

For the second skill:
Commander: Camouflage
Gunner: Snap Shot (M18 is NOT ideal for brawling, but murphy declares that no battle will ever be ideal. 2nd skill takes forever to train anyways, so i'd rather take a skill vs a perk)
Loader: Repairs (everything there was meh for me, might respec when 100%)
Driver: Camouflage
Radioman: Situational Awareness (hellcat's radio was already pretty good, figured extra view range never hurt, and skills are nice)

I play like a sniper, use speed to get to an ideal spot, fire a few shots then bolt. I look at the map, and go to where i'm needed.
