I used XVM with Aslain's contour mod, and it worked... once, about a month ago. Came home from work the next day, turned on my computer and discovered that it had decided it needed to do a system restore, because, why the hell not? Anyways, long story short, XVM has never worked for me in terms of showing stats since. Tried all kinds of troubleshooting. After un and re-installing every WoT related file on my system I still cannot get it to work. Dokan library fully un and re-installed, all that good stuff, still no go. Sometimes XVM proxy won't even launch, saying "Can't assign a drive letter or mount point". Updated the client (though it still says v3.0.2...) and the XVMconf file, nothing. Any help would be..umm...helpful. (and greatly appreciated, that too of course)

Here's what the nifty little command prompt says:

WoT XVM Proxy v3.0.2.22487
Timeout: 10000, MountPoint: .stat
Game Region: US (detected)
Starting game process: WorldOfTanks.exe
Exception: System.Net.WebException: The operation has timed out
   at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.GetResponse()
   at wot.Server.loadUrl(String url, String members, Int64& duration, Boolean te
st)
   at wot.Server.GetProxyAddresses()
Can't assign a drive letter or mount point

Sorry I misread one part.

Sounds odd. Is your PC fully updated again? I think your Net Framework has to be updated to a certain one?

Does this start to happen today ?

If so i believe it has to do with the main website being down due to maintenance ,

The XVM must take the stats from there , so if it is down the stats cannot be obtained

That is the Dokan error #5, you should reinstall Dokan again and grant admin before you run xvm proxy

I installed xvm 3.1.2pre2 with the new stats server executable and I placed the xvm.config file in the gui folder location but running the stats executable gives me this exception when I join a game:

2012.11.01 08:21:54 [i] GetFileInformation(): Error: System.Exception: No request
   at wot.Server.GetFileInformation(String filename, FileInformation fileinfo, DokanFileInfo info)

Dokan is installed. I think the  3.1.1 package also failed to connect or whatever the problem is.

What did you do to make it work? Did you use the old or new proxy exe?

Mine is working fine with 8.1. Just remember to download XVM Stat 1.0.1 for the new .exe, it replaced XVM full.

Get the "xvm-3.1.2-test3.zip" and dump those files into your wot/res_mods/8.1/GUI/FLASH

Then get the "xvm-stat-1.0.1.zip" for your proxy files and drop those in your main WOT folder.

The first folder I mentioned, doesn't have everything inside like older versions, due to what I assume is the way they updated some files.

.. Everything works just fine for me.

You are correct good sir. Cleared all WoT related files from my system... except for one little thing called Dokanmounter. I found the driver and deleted it but I still find Dokanmounter when I use command prompt and I am unable to stop and then delete it. "Access is denied". So Dokan is the only thing left that hasn't been fully erased and re-installed. I guess I'll go lurk some command prompt forums on some tech support website so I can figure out how I can get around the "access is denied" bs in order to delete Dokanmounter fully and re-install. Dell Inspiron n5010 won't let me launch in safe mode either. I love how thoroughly I can hate this computer at times....

Do you mean the % chance to win the match is gone? If so, they may of removed that feature or most likely you are using a config file that has that disabled.

I'm using the default config that comes with it. It's possible it's disabled but I want to make sure i didn't mess anything up.

it is disabled
you enable it in xvm.config file.

how do you edit the config file? When I bring it up in notepad it is mostly characters and not readable.

Note pad should do it.  The exact file name is xvm.xvmconfig

Mine opens as a text file.

Well I figured I'd dabble in this file a bit and since it was a time out error maybe increasing the time to get a response from the server would do the trick. I increased the timeout from 10000 to 90000 and now I've got this much more tidy little error:

XVM Stat v1.0.1.26773 for XVM 3.0.4+
Timeout: 90000, MountPoint: .stat
Game Region: US (detected)
Starting game process: WorldOfTanks.exe
  Time: 3376 ms, Size: 49 bytes
Can't assign a drive letter or mount point

So what is this drive letter or mount point, and what part of my config file to I need to edit in order to allow xvm to assign it?

Is xvm no longer updating? According to WoT stats, my overall efficiency is 1086 but xvm shows it as 1070. It should show it as 1080 since it increases by 10.
Any idea?

I'm having XVM stats update delay as well. I guess mine doesn't update about a week for now.

Any fix?

Thx!
