It is going to be the tier 8 MT for the Daimler Benz line. (A.K.A the Leopard 1 line)

At first glance it looks like a Medium version of the Lowe, and to be honest, it does.

No armor.  Ammo box in the front.  Not horrendous top speed, but a little lower than I'd have liked for something with no armor.  Power ratio looks decent.

It'll be interesting, for sure.

With the plethora of super high penetration guns, the armor isn't too big a deal, just look at the even lighter armored french tanks.

Interesting, and I like mediums.
One thing though, in your list of characteristics, could you please explain what you mean by "review"?

He said he got the info from the Russian forums, that's likely a casualty of an online translator

While I'd agree that penetration creep has made armor less useful, I feel what makes the French tanks so successful is their giant burst ability (and mobility).  They get in, deal a tremendous amount of damage, then get out.  With this tank, I feel that you have to snipe/use sustained DPS to kill a target, which means you're exposed to more fire than the French.  The lack of armor coupled with the frontal ammo rack (WAR is a must I'm guessing) and mostly-stationary play style of snipers/German tanks doesn't bold well for its survival.

With such thin armor, this tank is very, very vulnerable to just about any lower tier tank.  Plus, it barely has enough armor to protect itself from HE.  Anything with a howitzer will be a serious threat to this thing.

Granted, this is all just conjecture from looking at the stats without any idea of how it'll really turn out. :)

Maybe, but the turret front is 130 and well sloped looking, also if the in game version gets that large wide mantlet it could turn out to be a hull down monster like the Pershing.

I always get em mixed up, so here's Lostwingman's post

You've got that mixed up.
THe one you show at tier 9 is the Group A second submission.
This is the Group B Daimler submission we are likely to get.

This is much closer to what the tier X Leo will look like.

This is the '0-Serie', the last prototype by the winning group before it got serialized.

If so, that'd be awesome.  But, somehow, I don't think it'll be awesome.  Because, the tank will be colored gray.

At least German tanks have the benefit for using their above-average HP pool for "armor".

The biggest usefulness of armor in the current WoT era is deflecting damage / stopping penetrations from HE.  This is where the French tanks, especially a tank like the Lorraine get so hosed.  Getting penned by arty from the front isn't good for your longevity.

To be honest I like a lot of what has been shown thus far. One thing I'm really hoping for is good to decent gun depression.

It is Indien. It was not built for Germany, it was a design requested by India, who did not want to have to join the Warsaw pact just to get Russian tanks. Then India did what China did: copy tanks. However, the tank was designed by Germans, so it is still German. Nice to see India even had a European friend immediately after independence.
