that's a good point. Actually, that's a really good point. China in WWII was under the Kuomintang in WWII, not the communist party
WG, this is really important. I know there have been mods following this thread, please take note of this and pass it on.

Cause this isn't strictly speaking a WWII game and the bulk of the tree is PLA tanks so for simplicity's sake and of course the conspiracy theory reasons are valid too.

Yeah that so would not get past the present chinese government as an acceptable thing, this move is market share oriented and so making them angry isn't the right idea.
And, Chinese have their own server, If GW worry, thay can use CRC in China and SEA server, KMT in NA and EU server.

Whats the MM on the FCM50T going to be like? 8, 9? or 8, 9 and 10? I hope for the first option.

Well, the gun will be a buffed DCA 45(Around BL-9 pen?), and with 200mm of turret armor and 20hp per ton, probably tier 10.

My beef if that the Chi-Ha should have been a Japanese premium Tier 3 (if They're gonna make it tier 3). That way you'd lay the groundwork for the Japanese Tree, AND be able to start training Japanese crews.
Obviously the Chi-Ha shouldn't be a premium tank, just trying to think of some better solution than adding the first Japanese tank as a captured model, where you will NOT be able to actually train Japanese crew.
The Chi-Ha is the most anticipated tank to come out (along with the Sheridan), for me, but what...I'm going to get to play the Chi-Ha but build up a Chinese crew I don't want?
How would they add the Chi-Ha to the Japanese tree then? Just insert it and I'd have to start all over training the Japanese crew for the SAME TANK?
This makes me think the Japanese tree is waaaaayyyy down the road then.
Any thoughts on this folks?

Sorry for a question:
You have Nazi, USSR, which already become history, but why China tank don't use KMT(Kuomintang)'s logo?
(like this:
)
In WW2, KMT is the legitimate regime of China(ROC, Republic of China).
Enevthought CPC(PRC, People's Republic of China) is the legitimate regime of China now, they have never manufacture tank to fight in WW2.
But KMT have plane from USSR,weapon from USA, amd military advisers from nazi, why you use CRC in this WW2 tank game?

While the Chi-Ha coming out as a captured tank, thereby not allowing me to train a Japanese crew, stinks, ......
The one plus side, is the renders show a picture of the improved Chi-Ha, the Type 97 Shinhoto (New Turret) Chi-Ha with the higher muzzle velocity 47mm. Essentially this is the top of the line Chi-Ha as it were.
Why why why, can't I get this tank with a Japanese crew! Arrgghh........

Well, considering that they already have a modified American M5 (already in the game) and a bunch of very similar T-34/54 and IS-series tanks in the game, it actually makes sense. In many ways, the Chinese tree is a copy-tree, because historically that is exactly what their tank development was like. They participated in a lend-lease program, they captured enemy tanks, they copied tank designs from their largest/strongest neighbor (USSR), and it made sense... they wanted similar tanks to be effective against similar tanks.
So the bottom line is that they have one captured tank in the tree, and when the Japanese tree is added, you will have another, and likely with some different options.
Now, since my last post I watch all of the videos with SerB about 8.2 and the Chinese tech tree in-general (including their actual history). The things that those videos confirmed is exactly what my point was all along in this thread... the Chinese tree is not very creative, because historically the Chinese were not very creative. One thing I did like is their explanation of the trees and even comparing the tanks to their analogue Soviet tanks. From what I could tell, some of their tanks have either more armor than the Soviet version OR have significantly larger guns (such as a Medium tank with the equivalent of the top US M103 gun). They also showed some design cues that most Type 59 and T-54 drivers have learned to love... that curvy and bouncy turret introduced much earlier in the tech tree.
In essense the Chinese tech tree appears to represent a more manueverable, and in some cases different approach to an existing tank design (in terms of armor or gun) to their respective USSR counter-part.
I'm actually getting a little more excited to see these things in the game now! :D
My Type-59 crew will definitely have a new home at around Tier 5+. Now it's time to pump-up their skills and watch the sparks fly!

May I suggest discussing the topic at some point, or maybe even playing this game? Who knows, you might actually enjoy it. ;)

All in good time, Japanese tree, and Itilian tree will come later, let's not forget gaming Company are in it to survive, and make a profit, i dobut the Itilian market, and Japanese market is anywhere close to the 1.3Billion market of China, not to mention, so many people are down on the Chinese tree/ Tanks, before they even have a chance to drive one.
Let's wait for public test server on 8.2 and then put in "REAL" range scession with these tanks before we SH!T all over it.

Here, let me explain it to you.The patch is being introduced to draw more Chinese users. That's simply common sense.China has the largest population in the WORLD ( Red China, mind you, not Taiwan) and only a Putz doesnt go after a market share there. How do you suppose marketing goes for WoT in a Communist country trying to sell them on playing a game with the national emblem of a govt. they don't recognize ( except as the greatest threat to their continued existence) on their tanks? No way this game ever gets played in the Peoples Republic with a Kuomintang ensign on Chinses tanks. I suggest that all Chinese nationalists make their own skins, I'm pretty sure that's the best you are gonna do in this situation. That's just the reality of it, and it has nothing to do with pro-communist sympathies, which noone here has , except possibly our Russian overlords who design the game..
