I still remember back when there were only 2 tech trees in WoT, and there were only 2 tier X tanks around. Instead of whining ,people just drooled over anything new being added to the game. Typical question on TCs those days: "you want my IS-7, or my MAUS... or my IS-7... or MAUS?"

I still remember back when my SU-14 was the end tier SPG in the russian line, and the Hummel was the last SPG in the german one... those were funny days.

I still remeber back when the T-54 used to have god-like attributes, and their tracks used to be made from adamantium. It used to be the ultimate troll tank.

I still remember back when Komarin was still in rotation and you could win a match in less than 3min by capping the flag.

I still remember back when they gave us 200 gold each day for beta... I ended up with 15k gold by the end of it. That last week of beta was crazy as hell, even loltracktors were slinging gold rounds back at you with their machineguns XD

I still remember back when there were only 3 skills to pick from... and 1 was pretty useless.

I still remember back when there were only like 5 maps in the game... and people never really complained much about it.

I still rememeber back when the MM could put a tier VI heavy in a tier X battle. Have you ever seen what an IS-7 can do to an IS? It wasn't pretty.

I still remember back when the servers went down for one weekend during beta, and the devs decided to give us a whole week of 5x exp and 5x credits on every battle... people grinded for days without sleep.

I joined WoT's Closed Beta on 11/11/2010... 3 days from now it will be 2 years since I've been playing tanks. So much has changed and yet it still feels like WoT, it's amazing how they managed not to scew this one up (at least for me). I've had my ups and downs with this game, but I'm still here...

I'm with you. The game has improved alot since I started (Jan 2011). It still has many flaws but is overall doing good. I remember getting my first end tier tank, the mighty Panther 2. Awwwwww yeaaaahhh.

I remember playing the very last match of beta, it was on Lakeville with my Panther (tier 8). When I went back to my garage I was disconnected.

Whenever i see people whine about MM, i know they weren't here for this. The fun days of my KV-3 and T-34-85 grind

Oh man... that hard wipe of the servers... I was in a grumpy mood for about 2 weeks after that. After getting the IS-4 and the last gun on it, I was now in a freaking MS-1 all over again. I felt so cheated

My last map of Beta was Himmelsdorf in my T-54.  Played right up until they shut us out.

EVERYONE was slinging gold like you said.

Beta was such a blast!

Heheh, I felt the same way. Grinding all the way up to the T-54, IS-7, and S-51.
I quit for a bit after release though. I just didn't have the motivation to even look at the game for a bit post-release. :x

Huh, do you remember the days when MM had no tier division? There were only 2 battle types; tier 1-2 battles and one for everything else.

Yeah, I bet hardly anyone remembers recruit battles.

Indeed... I think I really started sometime around the 7.1 patch and missed grinding up to the T34 to get it when they converted it to premium (to this day I still wince when I think about that).  When I heard about the Russian tree split I wasn't going to miss the free tanks and garage slots that came with it so I dove the tree (different from simply grinding it).  Seeing tanks 3 and 4 tiers higher than my own was brutal when trying to grind it out quick (albeit less so than not being very familiar with anything over tier 6 and being stupidly pubtarded during the dive).

Nothing more deppresing than grinding your M6 and find yourself in a tier X battle. Ahhh those were the days...

Yet kids still complain about matchmaking.

Cheers!  I won't have my 2 Years till beginning of December.  My last Beta battle i scored 10 Kills in my M4 Sherman and decided it was a great battle to end my Beta Time with so stopped there and waited for the full release.

I remember the first time I saw a KV with the huge turret for the 152 derp cannon.  It was big, slow, and blowing up everything it looked at, and I just had to have one.  Yes, back in the good ol' days, when I didn't know anything and used to play WoT for fun... **tears**

But I do remember the MMing and lack of 200 tech trees.
