Taz,

In your latest video you expound upon Situational Awareness. Watching these videos and playing the tank a lot help build that. But you end the video by making the statement that situational awareness is the greatest thing to work on improving. What methods can you use to increase your situational awareness? Yes watching the videos, yes experience.

But what are the top five things you would recommend to help a person improve their Situational Awareness? What would you recommend? How do you sharpen that particular blade beyond watching these and playing a lot? (because just playing may not actually help unless you are actively trying to get better or practicing particular tactics...)

Thank you for the feedback.

O

1.  While you play, remind yourself constantly to watch your mini-map.
2.  Watch your own replays shortly after you play a game and look for things you missed while you played.   Or if you got surprised by a tank, look to see if it had been on the screen long.  Did you have a chance to see it in time to react or did it suddenly appear with no notice?  Was it a tank you saw earlier in about the same spot or headed that way and you forgot about it?
3.  When you die in a battle, watch any other tank still playing.  That gives you a lot of time to practice watching the mini-map with no pressure on you.
4. When you are passive scouting practice doing Quick Counts so you learn to do them quickly when you are moving around.  Knowing how many tanks are unaccounted for can help you make decisions as you play.
5.  When you are passive scouting, predict what your allies and/or enemies will do, either as a group or a specific tank, especially ones which are moving.   "Based on where he is and the direction he is moving, what is he up to?"  Learn to anticipate what tanks will do.  That way you can react to them before they accomplish their goal - OR - move into position to support a friendly before he gets to where he is headed.

What are your thoughts on the VK2801 nerf and move to tier 6?
How will this affect play style?
