Short question about the softwipe. Will you get the experience, noted down in the statistics, or will it be calculated by the real spent experienece in the research tree(because the experience before the softwipe isn't counted in the statistics)?

Calculating the experience in your research trees would be what they should do if they were adding up all total XP earned (including that obtained before the first softwipe)

Correct, if you don't believe this, just do the quick average xp times games played...

I was shocked that I had earned more than I had pre-wipe especially since I haven't had as much time to play, must be the perma premium account.

Hi all!

I have a question for people that know something more about spreading exp after softwipe.

How it will be calculated? I mean - will the exp before first softwipe be added to that which I gained after it? If so I will get something about 1 300 000 exp. If not 1 080 000. That's the difference, am I right? :D

Have a nice day ;)

Soft wipe = getting all exp made (German, Russian and US) together and spend where ever I want?

Go to http://game.worldoftanks.com, login, then go to 'my profile' link. Look at 'Total Experience: ', that's what you'll get.

is that possible to add account sync function for people who'd like to play in both servers.

say, i have an account in NA server. when i want to play in EU, instead of registering a new account, there is an option of "import and synchronize exist account from NA server".

thus, not only i can play my exact NA account in EU server, each time I log out, the account data will also be synchronized on both side, so that next time when i log in any of two servers, the progress would be exactly same.

especially when arranging special events cross different clusters, like NA champion vs EU champion, or world league, or even more ambitiously - the real world domination between servers.

here is how it happens:

say, there's difficulty to arrange games between different clusters. but, how about players log in the same cluster in order to play together? if account synchronizing is possible, this wouldn't be an issue.

due to the server latency, there will be a difference between HOME match and AWAY match. obviously, home teams/players have low latency advantage. so it is not hard to imagine how to arrange a cross cluster league, and how to balance server latency: each team must play at least 2 matches against another team, one is home, the other is away. each match is set in either NA or EU server, and all players on both teams must log in the same server.

for clan war of world domination, let's say, NA server runs the continents of oceania, north and south america, as well as maybe south east asia, and EU runs europe, africa and maybe also other part of asia. Clans' territory domination begins from the continents their server is running. If an EU clan wants to invade america, after meeting some specific conditions, they can log in NA server and expand their territory there. on the other hand, they suffer from latency punishment for their evil ambitious.

if all clusters, NA, EU, RU, CN could joint together like this, it will be much more hilarious.

and the data transfer and synchronization latency between clusters in this circumstance won't affect individual gameplay at all.

This is actually a very good suggestion.

I agree that player data should be centralized and available to all clusters.

The actual game play matches could be hosted on the separate clusters by region.

Great suggestion.

I am not best pleased with being 'locked' to the US or EU server. Like most people I have a wide variety of friends from both sides of the ocean and I either have to put up with a high ping to play with friends or play on the EU server, where most of my friends won't be playing.

I agree; as a native American English speaker, I simply prefer the NA servers, both for the people and the language.

I can already guess what the EU servers are going to be like; the only English speakers will be from Britain, and from my time on XBL I know that many online multiplayer Brits are, eh, vocal and brash, to say the least.

And don't get me started on the amount of spammed French/Italian/Czech/Polish/whatever that will be all over the EU servers.

You do realise that most people in EU learn English as a secondary language? Sure, many don't know proper spelling and grammar, but that doesn't mean they can't make themselves understood.

OT: I can't wait for the patch, the lag spikes are killing me (literally), especially in the evening when there's 10K+ players.

The fact they know how to sadly does not mean people actually speak English, though. There are lots of people who speak French, German, Polish or other Eastern European languages. The first two bother me less than the Eastern European ones, but admittedly only because I can read the first two. It mainly bothers me (and I imagine others as well) because a polite inquiry to get people to type in a language everyone is (/should) be able to understand is most commonly met by a brief full-caps flaming spree in English and a continuation of communication in whatever language they were using in the first place. I will definitely prefer the NA servers, also because experience from other games suggest that what is addressed here is very real, and sadly even if English is the official language on EU servers, it is usually not enforced at all, or at best poorly and sporadic.

Aside from that, I am looking forward to the changes announced in this newsletter

Yep, that's exactly what I meant. The official recommendation to use English as chat language stops literally no one from chatting away in their respective languages - again, can't blame them - and if you tell people you'd prefer English, you come off as an asshole elitist. Woe is us English-speaking-but-not-British-nor-American tankers. I'll just play on the NA server, high pings be damned.

sorry to bother anyone but spg does only imply that a big gun is mounted on a tank chassis.
spg includes but is not limited to artillery.
that means:
self-propelled artillery carriage
or
self-propelled anti tank gun
or
self-propelled anti aircraft gun
SPG

Pretty fair for EU players (irony) to stand with 0% skill crew against US and Russ players with 300% skills crew in championship.

Yes maybe after soft wipe we will have compensation for ours lost tanks and exp but what compensation we get for outs skilled crew?

To get at least 100% crew without any skill on ma maus i will need about 1200 gold and its only 1 from ma 7 vehicles. Same with Hummel so Maus amd Hummel = 2400 Gold to have 100% crew without any skills which i have now.
So rly nice

What are you talking about? After server split you wont be facing any players with 300% skill, they will play on their own server.

As i am playing for and with an american clan with a military structure (though i am german) i won't ever play on the EU server(s) if i got the choice (seems like it in this case).
My spoken english is not too good but i prefer speaking english whenever i am able to. It appears to be some kind of racism if you are insulted by those who don't want to speak english and i am glad that most of them will join EU server(s) (i am no racist myself it's just my own opinion and everyone feel free to correct me if i am wrong).

The Object and the Geschutzwagen, are they SPG's or TD's? They're built like TD's but the giant guns seem to suggest SPG's.

Geschutzwagen Tiger E-Series
is a SPG for sure. I did some google reading as im not familiar with it

the object i would think is a SPG also, but it maybe a TD. Could go either way.
