Hi,

I bluescreened a few minutes ago while playing WoT, and when I rebooted and signed back into WoT, the launcher will not allow me to start up the game. Whenever I try, a message box appears that says "Critical error. The data obtained from the update service is incorrect. The application cannot continue. For details, see log file."

WOTLauncher.log.bak log file:

It's possible your launcher is corrupted, have you tried launching the actual game(not the launcher)? It should be in your game directory called "WorldOfTanks.exe"

Yes, and when I attempt to launch it, I get another error message box that says:

"Game resource path does not exist: ./res/packages/vehicles_american.pkg

Have you checked if this error is accurate? as in, going into Res, to packages, and seeing if you have this file?

Also, have you recently installed a mod that might be interfering?

I installed a sound mod.

Also, no, I don't have it

Well then for some reason, your computer ate the american vehicle package file, which is why the launcher is trying to correct it and somehow failing.

All in all, your game got corrupted, maybe your antivirus spazzed out or something and thought part of it was malware. Best that can be done is a clean reinstall

This meant the blue screen caused damage to your packages folder (on this case you lost your American vehicles file)
