Hisotrical Basis of Two Guns

I've got a related question to this thread: Was the D-2-5T ever a thing? So far as I can tell, there was the A-19 artillery gun and the D-25T/S version mounted to tanks TDs/assault Guns, but I can't see to find anything about a D-2-5T.

I think IRL, Soviet TD's (in game) acted more like artillery pieces with lots of armor. To hit 18,500 meters away, is impossible to today's MBT's, but with a gun with an arcing path it would be possible.

The original source says 18.500m in Indirect fire.

I read somewhere else on the forum or maybe Overlord's blog that they did it as a way to represent the breech redesign that improved the rof of the D-25t/s in vehicles over the original's towed artillery design.
