Blackhawk874's Photo Blackhawk874 Nov 14 2012

Someone said that the new U.S. light tanks would stem off from the M7 MT. And if they do will my M7 remain elite like it is now?

Yes, same as the tier 9 meds/TDs when the tier 10 meds/TDs came out.

Oh yay. I hated my M7 MT and I wouldn't wanna have to grind it again.

I say yes, but this is the first "add-on" tank line added since the tech tree revisions.  Odds are it will stay Elite but you will still need to research the new tank from the M7, as in it will NOT be researched for free.

Your M7 MT would remain elite(And have the ability to accelerate crew training still), BUT the T21(tier 6 LT) would NOT be researched. So to access that line you'll still have to grind it or free xp through

EDIT - Ninja'd

BTW: XP cost for T21 is apparently the same as researching the Easy 8 from the M7

I had heard the same rumor, so was looking at buying the M7 MT to start grinding XP for the Tier VII as I have done with the VK3002DB.  The question I have is which gun do people prefer the QF 6 Pounder MK III or the 76 mm Gun M3L/37?  The 6 lber is lighter, higher pen and RoF, whereas the 76mm has better alpha, DPM and aim time/accuracy.  I would imagine 1,000kg should make it a little faster, more manueverable, but I just don't know.  Maybe someone that has played it can offer some insight and opinion.

i prefer the 57 aka the 6QF.  Better rof and considering you don't have any armor, but speed and maneuverability may as well have a gun that reloads like a bat out of hell and you can shoot better on the fly.

Does anyone have any screenshots of the new tanks?

Nevermind, I found a screenshot of it, it looks just like the T20.

This happened with the AMX 12t as well, when they added a branch to arty.  If it is elite now, it will continue to show up as elite.  However, as deathsheads states:

you will need to uncheck the advance crew training in order to earn XP to unlock the new tanks.

If you exchange earned XP for free XP, your M7's earnings will show up as exchangeable, so be careful with this until you unlock the next tier.

Just start grinding it out now and get it out of the way.

Just to be clear. You WILL have to grind M7 for about 25-30k experience (unless you already have some). I would recommend unchecking the accelerated crew experience check box and just do the daily doubles.
I find the 6-pounder gun with the sprem rounds rather enjoyable.  :Smile_glasses:

Sort of yes and no

They are reported to be the T21, which is a T20 with less armor
