In the case of my numbers, 2.1k is the number of battles in the Type 59, 1610 is the efficiency over all my tanks and 57% is the win rate in that tank. Overall I am at about 20k battles, and 55% win rate. I prefer knowing how many games a player has played in the tank I am facing, and how successful they are in it.
The side panel shows similar figures, but also uses colours to show information not numerically displayed. For example:
Someone can have a green winrate figure, but different colour for the name of their tank. That shows that their efficiency overall isn't as good as the winrate would suggest (of course it's just based on arbitrary numbers someone once choose).
Then we get to the numbers over a tanker's icon. With alt pressed it shows the following:
49% in that tank, with .2k games played in that tank. 50% overall winrate, and 7k games played on that account.
Without alt pressed: (I'd actually like to get a config file that shows a little more information than this, but haven't mustered the energy to search for one yet). The asterisk represents some kind of non-fully-upgraded tank, and might be stock turret in this instance, I seem to recall seeing that somewhere.
Lastly, when pressing alt, the following is revealed:
This is the guy in the IS above, and as you can see the "games played in that tank" area is blank (whereas it was 0.2k a couple of pictures above). He hasnt played enough games in it for xvm to have data on it, I guess. Also, it explains why he has the stock turret (or whatever non-fully-upgraded status the asterisk indicates).
IMO it just adds to the experience, leaves less to chance, and information is always good.
I was going to upload the config file, but "Error You aren't permitted to upload this kind of file"
