Quit complaining...

I can wait longer if it means there'll be less bugs.

True so why not announce at that time. Other servers seem to get a heads up we seem to get the announcement the day before.

If you already know what the general schedule is then why do you need it handed to you every time with bright neon lights? If the EU patch goes well they'll announce it as usual on Wednesday. Suck it up buttercup.

1.  You're quite right.  It'll always be RUS, EU, USA, and thats perfectly fine.

2. Where you'e lacking is in Communications.  When the RUS Release is announced on XX, you should also announce that the EU release will be XX+7 and the USA Release XX+9 if no problems occur.  Some small advance warning is more appreciate than you may understand, and does no rela harm, since we all get that said release schedukle will change if the RUS patch is buggier than a Manilla Whorehouse after a Monsoon.

I've seen it time and time again.  A development group announces a tentative release schedule, has an issue that delays release, and then people like the OP rage endlessly about how they were screwed out of the update, how inept the development group is, etc rage rage rage.  EVERY software group I've ever seen keeps their release schedule to a last minute announcement to avoid the angst of an entitlement based user group.

This. I didn't make this thread because NA server is getting the update last, after 2 years I know full well that's the normal trend. What struck me as odd was that I only found out about the EU release by notification on facebook. There are some major communication issues that need to be fixed, for instance why are NA facebook users recieving notifications about EU stuff? And it does rankle a bit when they announce the release for the EU server but do not give any mention at all on what the situation is with the NA version of the patch. It tends to make the NA community feel like they are being side-lined. We don't mind being last, but at least keep us up to date with the relevant info. You do all the news announcements on the EU server in english so it's not like there's any down-time in translation.

What are your language settings on Facebook? Generally the updates are location and language targeted.

LOL Sir yes Sir!

Because anouncements are easier and I don't have to wade thru the inane crap on the forums.

Instead of having to explain it to him as if he was a kindergartner that doesn't get it, can't you just send him to his room?

Then your FB settings are messed up, I didn't get any EU notifications.

...which doesn't apply here since the RU server has more peak users than EU, NA, and SEA combined. If that were true, they would start with NA or SEA, which have the least amount of peak users.

Besides, they do their in-house testing with Supertest and public testbefore sending the update, so QA is practically guaranteed.

RU has the most users but it is faster and easier for the main developer team to understand users using the Russian language and the users on RU seem to be more tolerant in general of a few bugs. Internal and public testing catches most things but if something slips through when going live it can hurt revenue so extra precautions are prudent.

There is already a way to get the patch, but it is useless until they update the servers.  A friend was telling me about it.  If there is a way to get the patch then I'd say it is releasing very very soon.

I will just stand by and wait, like the rest of you.  I hope it is sooner than later and no problems crop up.

Do delays in the Eu and Na update delay other patches?

I'm just curious. I see these types of thread each and EVERY patch.

WHO CARES?? We'll get the patch when we do, does it really matter how soon? We know it's headed our way. It might be here first, or last. It'll get here.

I know I'm making a futile post. But someone's gonna say this, if they already haven't. Another 100 times for every patch to follow.

You should see the EU server forums: if the US gets ANYTHING before they do, or a special that's better then the one they get - there's about 25 different rage threads about how WG treats the EU like trash, and does EVERYTHING for those stupid Americans...ect - its kinda funny actually - but they take getting the patch way to seriously...

The EU server takes EVERYTHING too seriously. Really, people who say the NA server whines too much have never been there.

Hey, we have garbad taking all the attention, so there's no way anything such as jealousy thread as everyone is jealous of Garbad's skills of attention grabbing.

I'm starting to wonder if some people's lives don't actually consist ENTIRELY of mashing the F5 button on the game news website until the patch download link shows up.

Generally they don't. It's only in extreme cases were additional people need to troubleshoot an issue.
