Here's a mod I've made for the premium hangar http://www.evangelyn...BodhiHangar.rar

Unrar the archive and copy the .dds files to the directory  C:\Games\World_of_Tanks_closed_Beta\res\content\Interface\shells\Hangar_premium and choose overwrite.

Note that this mod only affects the premium hangar and not the standard hangar.
All images used in the mod are public domain.

Remember to make a backup of your original .dds files before you replace them.

Here's my Hummel :)

Since the Hummel skin mirrors one side to the other, any added graphics becomes mirrored and makes text read backwards, so this one doesn't work, made it just for fun.

Very nice.  Gives a bit of a period feel to it...installing

EDIT:
Hmm...I installed per the instructions and my hanger looks the same as it did before.

Strange, I just tested to install from the download link and it works fine here... I will do some more testing and see if I can figure out the problem.

Is your hanger different for premium accounts?  If so that maybe why.  I am 175 gold away from buying a months worth.

Ah, that explains it. Yes, it's only available for the premium account. Time permitting I will make one for the standard account as well. Sorry for the confusion, I have changed my original post to point out that only the premium hangar is included.

Well the thing that tipped me off was the directory name Hangar_premium.  But occasionally the obvious isn't so obvious to me.

This is imo by far the best hangar mod available. Great thx for this, looking forward to non-premium.

Thanks Misanthrope1, I will probably get around to doing the standard hangar soon. I'd also like to add some more time period related details to the premium hangar, and perhaps remove one or two of the posters as it is a bit "every space has a poster" now.

I have been working a bit on the standard hangar and decided to give up on it, as it will take too much time getting it to work. The reason being that the normal maps are putting brick wall contours on everything and I haven't been able to figure out how they are mapped as they seem to be repeated using a different map than the corresponding color map. Also, the lighting in the standard hangar is very simple, and thus the textures overly bright to compensate, making it difficult to get a proper gamma on any added images. Also, the texture resolution in game is lower on this hangar as it's much closer, so it just doesn't look good enough to add posters on the wall in the standard hangar.
