Per my data, News Letter has never been official source of information.

From the linked Newsletter:
Q - ♦ Any chance we can see a feature for MM to take into account player skill / rating when setting up a game?
A - ♣ Not to the point where skilled players would be forced to just play against other skilled players. This would be unfair to the players that spend the time to get good at the game. There could be changes to balance the amount of good players per team, but never to the point where good players will only play good players.
Note: "could be" indicates "might be", "the possibility exists", "no guarantees", and possibly even "it's been fleetingly mentioned but not seriously considered".
"but never to the point where good players will only play good players" indicates an absolute...as in never will the aforementioned quote happen.
Also the never portion is confirmed by Chris Keeling in the OP's linked video. Quote: "Any chance we will see matchmaking take into account player skill when setting up a game?" Keeling's reply "No way. This is umm...a core aspect of the game. The game is based on skill and teamwork. If we balance out player skill, that's going to take a lot of fun out of the game"
I think that's a pretty clear answer.

Not to happy about the 'other platforms' stuff. The last thing I want here are a bunch of PS3 kiddies playing the game.

Creating a dedicated mac version of the game? My MacBook Pro would love you for it... I actually have to use Bootcamp if I am out anywhere now just to play and that is just frustrating. I prefer to play WoT at home on my desktop but it would be great to play it on OS X as well.

Well this is an improvement.... over the other vid's... but noo, they don't need to westernize the game, I want to play it the way it is, and I don't see other countries europeanizing or easternizing is so called country

Actually Westernization in the sense they are talking about is a good thing. They still haven't really cracked the US market and by paying attention to what we really need as opposed to the whining or focusing strictly on Russia they end up making our gaming experience better which means more players and less horrible games.

And for those who don't understand the term westernization that includes translating to English and user interface element changes not just game play.

Did he say his favourite tank is the Jagdpanzer?!
Guess he enjoys a challenge.
