This video is extremely informative. I'll be interested to hear any player counter-points to what it provides, but my other thought is that this these vids do a away with much of the player-created guides....

I'm kinda disappointed I was hoping that they would include a small tidbit about using the first turret... its much lighter and changes the tactics quite a bit
Anyhow... very informative and well done. I enjoy these alot WG

It's been my experience with the M24 that any perceived benefit you gain from keeping the stock turret are outweighed by the losses you incur. Most notably are the loss of view range and inability to mount the 76mm.

Thanks for the guide! I have a few questions though.
1. How profitable is the Chaffee in general?
2. how bad is the first gun?
3. How likely is it to see a tier 10 battle?
Thanks,
AGK47

A few thoughts as I'm watching the video (I will edit as I'll have more to comment on):
1) It's Chaff-ee, not Chay-fee. Like this.
2) The comparison with TIX-X View Ranges is simply a lie. Here's the list of all the Tier IX-X vehicles that can see farther than the M24: M48A1 (420m), FV4202 (410m), FV215b (410m), Objekt 263 (410m). Considering the M24 takes part in TIX-X battles 80% of the time, its View Range is average, which is bad. See my post about it here.
3) All idiot medium/heavy tankers sitting in Tier IX-X tanks, yelling "Noob chaffee go scout", should watch this video and learn from it, and memorize the following line "Let your allies deal with spotting enemy tanks."
Good video overall! Thanks for posting it!

To be fair, Mieter, the view range used to be 420m, but then they nerfed it of course.

Well, its time they boost it back up, since with the T21 and T71 on the board, there's really nothing that would drive me to play with my M24, except the daily extras.

1. It is an end tier scout tank which means = NOT profitable at all.
2. first gun shoots slower, does less damage, and has less penetration. Not going to be an easy gun to use.
3. Very likely.

I'm currently on the war path to acquiring the T-21, but after seeing this, I might consider repurchasing the M5 Stuart. Of course, if I do, I'll need to save enough XP to get all the modules that come with it. Anything less is unacceptable and intolerable.

Er yes, Chay-fee. Chaff-ee
and the ELC is NOT extremely unique. It is either unique or it is not. It cannot be very unique, nearly unique or almost unique.
Did enjoy the video though.
Was always a personal favourite as a tank but that top turret is so fugly I've not gone for the tank at all. Maybe one day.
